WWII on the Land

Back to HISTORICAL

Ground combat in the Second World War took place in a wide variety of climes - arctic (Leningrad, the Aleutians), desert (North Africa), jungle (Burma), the bocage (France), woods (the Ardennes), swamps (the Prippet Marshes), beaches (Okinawa)...

The war also saw rapid growth in the technology of war, so that the techniques of the early blitzkriegs are hardly the same as the sophisticated combined-arms tactics in use in the final campaigns.

"Stardust is a European paint manufacturer based in the south of France," writes Stardustcolors Sponsoring Member of TMP. "The company works mainly in two sectors – firstly, the manufacture of paint for all types of vehicles (cars, motorcycles, bicycles, scooters) with a predilection for paints of another type: the special effect paint.

"Our second sector of predilection is the manufacture of fine acrylic paints. These are solvent-free paints, called water-based, which are mainly designed and dedicated for the different disciplines using airbrushing as a mode of application:

  • artistic paints for airbrushes
  • paints for radio modeling
  • paints for maquetism and hobby
  • paints for figurines and miniatures (wargames)

"These are superior quality paints which are therefore specially formulated to be ultra-fluid, very resistant, and containing a high level of pigmentation."
