I absolutely love the Westwind werewolves. Mine await the next coming of the Dog Soldiers scenario. |
rjharter | 03 Jun 2006 8:03 p.m. PST |
I still love the old Ral Partha ones from the White Wolf RPG, so many different styles to choose from. Looks like they are available again from IWM. |

Personally, I like the Confrontation ones from Rackham link link

Grey Ronin | 03 Jun 2006 8:24 p.m. PST |
Both Reaper and Westwind are very good! The Westwind have the tattered remnants of clothes; giving the impression of having jsut changed from human form. Both very nice. |
Redroom | 03 Jun 2006 8:32 p.m. PST |
I like confrontations, but the zombie werewolf from reaper is really nice too |
Ravens Forge Miniatures | 03 Jun 2006 8:43 p.m. PST |
Grim Reaper has one that is enormous. comes in several pieces. |
nazrat | 03 Jun 2006 10:21 p.m. PST |
The Great Rail Wars had a really nice werewolf which doesn't seem to be on the web site any more, and there is a whole team of them in the Superfigs line (although those don't look so primal). |
LeadAsbestos | 04 Jun 2006 1:42 a.m. PST |
I like the lanky Heresy new one. |
Reemull | 04 Jun 2006 2:36 a.m. PST |
The Great Rail Wars one is on the Pinnacle page (Smith and Robards) and not Jeff Valent's. |

Have to say the Westwind Loop Garou (big werewolves) are definately my favourite werewolf figure outside of the Rachman ranges. I am just painting up a couple for my alterntive WWII Graven Image stuff. Fit in nicely with their 36-40mm figures. Also be using them for my own Dog Soldiers games. Hav eto say the Reaper ones look nice. does anyone know if they fit in size wise with the Westwind Loop Garou. Gothic |

I like the Reaper ones aswell ( pitty there aren't more) Here's one of my painted Reapers: picture Because of the lack of nice Werewolves I've done two conversions aswell ( so far). The first is a converted Heroclix Wendigo: picture The other is a converted MageKnight "Frost Wolf" picture Both the conversions are " in scale" with the Reaper one. Regards PM |

Reemull, thanks for pointing out that Pinnacle had put their Great Rail Wars figures back up on the web! I was wondering why Jeff Valent's site had so few pictured when for a while he was the ONLY source for them. |

Heresy's werewolf and reaper's female werewolf are my favourites |

Right now I think that we have a problem over the fear of litigation, rather than litigation itself. Rumour of the 'compensation culture' are rife, but (at least in the uk) exaggerated. The problem is that, because of THE FEAR of litigation, rather than litigation itself, scout activities are restricted, playgrounds have slides removed, floral hanging baskets are banned from some town centres, Its got so bad that parliment have draft legislation before them that basically says: 'If an activity has an expected level of risk, that if eliminated fully, would cause that activity to become null and void, then the desirability of the activity takes precidence over the risk' In my view, fear of the law is acting as a brake on initiative, social concience, and intervention. We've even had reports of a vandal attempting to sue a council, because his brick bounced off the shatterproof glass that they had placed in their bus shelters, and hit him. Of course the action failed, but the signal that was sent out to cash strapped local authorities was: 'Dont try to fix the problem, you'll get sued' But back to the subject at hand. They ARE your pictures, you can do what you like with them. |

If i had to pick one werewolf mini, it would be
Reaper's 02747 – Jean Paul Duchamps, Werewolf link |
nazrat | 04 Jun 2006 11:58 a.m. PST |
I would agree with that! That is the best model anybody has mentioned on this thread. |
Steve Flanagan | 04 Jun 2006 12:29 p.m. PST |
I actually prefer the previous version of Jean Paul Duchamps – it's less comic-booky. This photo link doesn't do it justice at all. But the newer one is the best match I can think of from this year's Queen Victoria episode of Dr Who, so I'll probably get one. |
Lowtardog | 04 Jun 2006 3:19 p.m. PST |
Now the first one to me (I have both) looks a bit cat like or more like a jackal! the newer ones are nice and ideal for Dog Soldiers which is what I am planning on using them for |
gothic | 05 Jun 2006 7:03 a.m. PST |
I know I've asked this question before in this topic but does anyone know if they fit in size wise with the Westwind Loop Garou and would they look out of place with graven Images 36-40mm figures. |

link doesn't work :( try to look for the warwolf through this page : link |
gothic | 05 Jun 2006 9:29 a.m. PST |
Thanks Penchour for the link. The Warwolf is absolutely beautiful. Who actually makes these figures ?, and next question where can I get one from ? This has to be the best werewolf figure I've seen. Like i said before, Rachmans are first class but definately fantasy in appearance, whereas the Warwolf is 100% gothic horror. |
Steve Flanagan | 07 Jun 2006 1:22 p.m. PST |
@ gothic – Where are you based? The Warwolf is made by Ilyad Games in France, and is stocked in the UK by Gamer's Quest (a front end for Tabletop Games): link (NB it is listed under Armageddon rather than under Le Retour des Dieux.) I have to say that although Ilyad's stuff looks good (at least in photos – I haven't seen the real thing), it is very pricey. £16.00 GBP for that beastie. (BTW: the company that makes Confrontation is called Rackham, rather than Rachman.) |

Regarding Reaper, they also have the Lupines from the Warlord range that probably won't show up in the werewolf search. They're a bit technologically proficient for werewolves, having armour and weapons and such, but they're very nice figures. |
