I've never played Outpost Gamma but it's a meta-esque game from the era of the original OGRE. Very reminiscent of a Zulu battle with the addition of radiation storms and power armor troopers.

Anybody ever played this game using minis? :)

I have asked the same thing a couple of times, with limited results:

What about these guys for the Irdans?

That looks like a fun game! What are the aliens supposed to be like? How are they armed?

CorpCommander: "That looks like a fun game!"

I know. It reminds me of the Conan movie quote: "Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you will remember, if we were good men, or bad. Why we fought, or how we died. No, all that matters is, that two stood against many. That's what's important. Valour pleases you Crom, so grant me one request, grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then the hell with you!"

CorpCommander: "What are the aliens supposed to be like? How are they armed?"

This gives an idea:

For inexpensive minis, you could use OneMonks paper TerraMarines. They would match well with the Legionares.

I really like the almost Thermopylae-like premise . . .

"TEN TROOPERS . . .
. . . AGAINST HUNDREDS
On a colonial world of the far future, ten hard-pressed Imperial troopers in mobile battle armor desperately defend their base against mass assaults by hundreds of primitive alien natives, rushing to attack under the cover of violent energy storms. The imperial troopers have the latest in advanced weaponry, high-mobility pulsor units in their armor, and the support of two heavy-weapons specialists. But the native Irdans have sheer numbers, unwavering courage, and their greatest ally -- the hostile environment of their home planet . . .
Against odds of 50 to 1, will sophisticated technology be enough to save the beleaguered garrison at OUTPOST GAMMA?"

Don't know why I didn't think of Orcs/Orks. Goodness knows I have a shedload of them.

Just providing you guys another option, one that I plan to use too:

Hope it helps.

I REALLY like the idea of the GW Moria Goblins as primitive aliens (in this case, Irdans), because their posture, their armor, and everything else about them is so alien-looking (definitely not your typical fantasy Orcs):

Images of the Irdans:

Plus, they GW Moria Goblins are taller than my 15-17mm figures, which makes them all the more threatening.

And, if you're using them with 28mm, they work great as skulking alien pygmies of sorts.

But, what do you guys think???
