I would love to play it with figures though.

Well Pig Iron figures look just like the box art>

I remember this game very well. It was one of the first games I bought as a kid, before getting in to D&D and miniature wargaming.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the desire to recreate it with miniatures. This is an idea I've had on the back burner for years.

Seeing as I will need around 100 bases I'll probably use 6mm figures, as I have hordes of irregular orcs & goblins which will do for Irdans.

Now, how to make that tricky canal system, mesas & energy storms……

In a larger scale, it would be fun to run this with, say, 10 Pig Iron humans against 100 Grays or Tusken Raiders.

Matakishi was working on this on too:

I think it'd be a great game to use minis with, and +1 for the Pig Iron minis, though I do like the Mongoose SST suits as well. Maybe both…

I still have it sitting on a shelf just above my worktable, always liked the art but iirc the game was rather predictable.

Hi Guys,

I've also been working on this in 6mm…

Still have it. Fairly decent game, although I liked Star Viking and Grav Armor better. More replay value.

Dragon Rage was my favorite of the fantasy DwarfStar range.

Seljuq/Maksim,

Though 6mm is not my size, have you made any progress since this subject first came up?

Size notwithstanding, I would love to get ideas from your success so far.

Thanks.

I REALLY like the idea of the GW Moria Goblins as primitive aliens (in this case, Irdans), because all of their armor is so alien-looking (not just the helmets):

Images of the Irdans:

Plus, they GW Moria Goblins are taller than my 15-17mm figures, which makes them all the more threatening.

And, if you're using them with 28mm, they work great as skulking alien pygmies of sorts.

But, what do you guys think???
