Very cool.

I bought the rules and follow up sets but to date have no figures – that will change this year though :-)

The rules are soft copy from link

Look out for the men in plaid is all I can say!

khurasanminiatures20 Mar 2012 5:29 a.m. PST

That's hilarious! I've got some models I've been sitting on which would be perfect for this -- ten poses of rednecks (three running and seven fighting) and some aliens as well (evil tentacled aliens with ray guns, and a tracked power armour suit) which would be perfect for this, have to get them painted….

CPT Jake20 Mar 2012 5:30 a.m. PST

Yeah but the "Something's in the Sauce"/SITS supplement isn't yet to be found (at least by me).

Watchtower7820 Mar 2012 5:48 a.m. PST

It isnt out yet Jake. I am still tweaking the rules. I am thinking of doing a kickstarter for the first faction of minis.

Cacique Caribe20 Mar 2012 7:24 a.m. PST

Anyone need cattle victims?

Dan

Watchtower7820 Mar 2012 7:36 a.m. PST

Need them for the zombie burger scenario in the next book. There are thirteen scenarios in the next book.

Bearing Your ubelievable fruitfullness, I suppose You can say it about any topic, cant You Jon? :D

I could bet that whatever strange topic I will imagine You have suitable figues on the workbench.

I suspect it is possible only becuase You are co-working with other Jons from alternative realities.

Cacique Caribe20 Mar 2012 2:12 p.m. PST

Jon,

Are any of them farmers' daughters?

I love historical games like this.

Cacique Caribe20 Mar 2012 4:10 p.m. PST

It IS historical!!!

khurasanminiatures20 Mar 2012 4:13 p.m. PST

I'm sort of from an alternative reality myself!

I have these aliens to be painted, and I'm just about to ask the painter to start working on them. He's actually had them for quite a while, but tentacled aliens are not exactly the first thing on the list of things to release! This thread has reminded me I need to get them to market. I think I'm going to call them the cattle mutilators. I also have some rednecks which I sent to one painter, but he never painted them, so I think I'll send them to my more regular painter instead.

Also have the men in parkas, and soon should be getting the space monsters in the Antarctic. I wonder, can you use it came from beyond the still to play Thing-like scenarios in Antarctica?

Pyrate Captain20 Mar 2012 5:03 p.m. PST

Does anyone make mutilated cattle? Being an animal lover I can't bear to do it myself.

Pyrate Captain20 Mar 2012 5:15 p.m. PST
Watchtower7820 Mar 2012 6:01 p.m. PST

Yes Jon you can. When ICFBTS: SOmethings in the Sauce comes out you can use one of the servitor races and give it whatever mutations you want to play the Thing. :)

Pyrate Captain20 Mar 2012 6:17 p.m. PST

Watchtower, is there going to be a vehicle supplement to enable players to duke it out on the road between NASCAR-like moonshine-runners vs. sports-model saucers?

Don't know about mutilated but Peter Pig has 'dead cows' in its scenery range. Unfortunately such sights were all too common in Normandy during 1944.

Cacique Caribe20 Mar 2012 7:36 p.m. PST

Yes. I think these are from Peter Pig:

They'll have to be calves. I game 25-28.

Watchtower7821 Mar 2012 6:12 a.m. PST

Pyrate thats funny. Bootleggers vs ufos I like it!

khurasanminiatures21 Mar 2012 6:43 a.m. PST

By the way, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Sorry about that--I assumed you were just marketing the rules so it seemed a "no harm, no foul" situation, but now I see you will be making figurines so feel a bit embarrassed. frown

Bad form for a manufacturer to come into a thread started by another manufacturer and start shilling his own wares….

Cacique Caribe21 Mar 2012 8:19 a.m. PST

Pyrate,

You da man!!!

I love the thorough report and those pics, and that hand-drawn map is priceless.

To all i say that TMP now has its own investigative reporter, willing to go where no TMPer has gone before, despite the passing of 57 years. Time and space are not an obstacle to you.

Jon thats ok your stuff rocks. Wanna talk licensing? :)

AWuuuu21 Mar 2012 4:14 p.m. PST

I have few cows to be molested already painted but I was jet to consider gaming system to mutilate them poor animals..

But thats looks interesting.
If it was sold on drive through RPG i would buy it for instant, but it seams for some strange reason only the expansion is available there..

Any more info about the system ?

Pyrate Captain21 Mar 2012 4:37 p.m. PST

I appreciate it Dan.

The Kelly incident is not the only thing rapidly approaching 57 years but I was but an infant when those drunk teenage aliens got into the Saurian brandy, borrowed dad's hot 54 saucer without permission, and do what youths do best, get into trouble. They are in their seventies now and still periodically get together to reminisce on that night that they got shot at.

Mick

Cacique Caribe21 Mar 2012 5:50 p.m. PST

LOL!!! I never meant to say you were 57!

Anyway, you rock.

Dan

Watchtower7821 Mar 2012 7:23 p.m. PST

They are all on wargamevault and drivethrurpg. Check out wargamevault.com. The system us scenario driven and really easy to teach.

You can get all the expansions!

Watchtower7822 Mar 2012 5:45 a.m. PST

You can get the pdfs here link

Watchtower7822 Mar 2012 6:05 p.m. PST

I just finished putting the final touches on It Came From Beyond the Still: Something's in the Sauce. Should be out in a few weeks in pdf!

We are just about to launch a kickstarter program to help the cost of producing the Hatfields and McCoys in 28mm. The alien blobs, grays, cephs Men in Black and Men in plaid will follow. Faction sets are estimated at msrp of 20.00 usd.

Cacique Caribe27 Mar 2012 4:50 p.m. PST

Why 28mm?

Dan

Watchtower7827 Mar 2012 5:53 p.m. PST

The game was written with 28mm in mind as it is usually the one most popular for pulp games although 15mm and indeed even toy scales work well for this type of game.

Watchtower7828 Mar 2012 5:34 a.m. PST

They will be the same scale as other manufacturers 25mm.

chrisrivers08 May 2012 9:26 a.m. PST

What minis were used for the cultists and the Meddling Kids?

Watchtower7808 May 2012 11:07 a.m. PST

Bob moons cultists. The kids are the skateboard kids that I think are made by blue moon.

chrisrivers09 May 2012 10:25 a.m. PST

Found the cultists, they are from Pulp Figures, right? I have not been able to find the kids though. What did you use for the Grey's Robot? Kind of looks like the Iron Giant.

Watchtower7809 May 2012 12:53 p.m. PST

Gray is hydra minis and yes sorry Bob Murch makes the cultists. Remember we are doing a full range of minis to go with this game that I expect will be ready with tge first five factions this summer. As Brad gets closer to finishing the factions I will be putting together a kickstarter in which you will be able to get the figures and more goodies!

Watchtower7809 May 2012 1:51 p.m. PST

I posted more greens over on icfbts.blogspot.com now we have all cephs, two hillbillies, grays and cephs bioorganic tripods. Go check it out.
