There is a lot that could be gamed, other than Balin's Tomb and a few of the key pieces from the movie:

Has anyone made secondary tunnels and chambers for gaming Moria?

I am definitely not thinking of making anything this elaborate. Wow.

Wow is right. Those guys are driven.

I have "Cave Works" from Worldworks and have used that to recreate underground battle skirmishes set in Middle earth.

Yep, they're paper. I just bought the Ziterdes Balin's Tomb from the Warstore.com. I had some Christmas money and it was to big to pass up. I'll probably use it for pulp games though.

Though I wish they would show other smaller rooms too, I love the way they carve those two cavern-like entrances to this hall:

I have never made anything like this, although I have always meant to. There was a great article in DiAgostini's magazine about the sewers under Osgiliath made from cavern tiles that might provide some inspiration. Ultimately though, I would imagine that the Moria side passages would be microcosms of the dwarven great hall presented in the movie.

Other than that, there is a wealth of imagery in the movie; the path the fellowship takes may actually provide some very good examples for you to start from if not build off of completely.

Anyway, hope that helps.

These would make great tunnels:

Oh, and I forgot to mention: I already had a concealed-carry permit, approved by the local police chief and justified by my job at the time. But I still needed to go through the drill for a new weapon. My older weapons had moved into the state with me.

One possible Moria accessory option:

This really puts my efforts to shame . . . :(

I guess that is definitely the best way to go:

Are the Splintered Light woodland critters out yet? Mouse Guard is just begging to be gamed, and those Moria setups would work great for Darkheather.
