I am planning to make a hall for this fellow:

Any ideas on what a Goblin king's throne should look like? Should it be made out of stalagmites, surrounded by trophies?

Any ideas? Has anyone already tried this?

Or is there something already made that I could purchase?

Thanks.

Or should it be made out of roughly hewn rock like this one?

I was going to say that I think such a thing was done in the Lord of The Rings magazine ages ago, but I think it's the same thing as that in the article DarkWingDuck linked to.

It looks to me like an area of Dwarven Moria that's been taken over, rather than something the Goblins have done themselves.

If you wanted their "natural habitat", such as the Goblin lair in The Hobbit then I think you would want it to be much more rough-hewn and cavern-like, with stalagmites and wotnot.

Nice!! I figured that they already lived in their own caves/caverns long before they took over the Dwarven ones.

An interesting take on the "Goblin Throne" diorama.

That lair of the goblin king article is excellent, but I think a bit too clean. I would totally go with a look that matches more closely to the goblin armour. I would put a lot of metal spikey bits around the dwarven thrown, or even build over the stump of a smashed dwarven throne. It may work to even use some designs in the armour and simply morph it into a chair form.

The goblins don't like the dwarves; the animosity between the two races runs very deep and very long, so it is unlikely that they would like to have any obviously dwarven things around in their lairs.

Hope that helps!
