auction How big are they, and what does the back of them look like? Also, are they sold separately (other than on Ebay)? Thanks. CC |

By the way, from what I can see in that photo, they look like they would work great for LOTR Moria, lost cities, or even alien ruins. CC PS. As you can tell, I am completely unfamiliar with the game system and products. |

The big one is three hexes long by one hex wide and the small one is two hexes long by one hex wide. That's about 4.5" by 1.5" on the big one and 3" by 1.5" on the small one. They are only available in the Master Set. You may be able to contact Hasbro about getting some, but I don't know if that will work. I don't remember what the back of them look like right now. |

Delthos, Thanks! Can they be repainted? And what does it look like on the other side? CC |

The backs look just like the fronts |

They'll take a repaint fine, too. |

They're actually pretty much in scale with -- and compatible with -- the GW ruins that used to come with the WH40K boxed set. I use 'em interchangeably. |

Unless you have a specific need or paint scheme in mind, they really don't even need a repaint. |

These are just ruins. They now have a full set of an enclose castle. Sold separately and very nice. You can pick them up at Wally world, TRU and Target if you look around. |

Ruins are just the ticket, actually. I can use them as wall "facings" for Moria tunnels, as ruined walls of lost cities, as ruins of alien worlds, etc. CC |

CC, the new Pegasus Gothic City Ruins 1 (#4930) might also be of some use. They are larger and allow a second story platform as an assembly option. Retail at $20, but can be had for less of course. As to the HS ruins, don't pay too much 'cuz you can find the entire set for around $20 USD sometimes. I.E. Target has it on sale at $25 USD and Toy-R-Us sometimes does 2-4-1 sales. |

I use these just for wargaming. I bought a box of them off eBay. I don't re-paint as they look good out of the box. Tomorrow, they will serve as a ruined Roman outpost on the road to Cairo during the Ninth Crusade. |

CC; note that they are hollow, being two pieces. You might split them to make 2 facings.. |

"CC; note that they are hollow, being two pieces. You might split them to make 2 facings.." Has anyone done that (I mean the splitting of those pieces)? I've just received my first ebay set. There are three larger ones and three smaller ones. Very, very nice. I think they will work great as tunnel facings for Moria scenarios, as alien ruins and as futuristic ruins for post-apocalyptic scenarios! I may need to repaint them to make them fit with my current board color schemes though. CC |

This is where these Heroscape ruins will end up, for when I do a Moria or even a Beneath Planet of the Apes game: TMP link What do you think? CC |
