This is a request for a simple yes/no poll to vote on the following:
- Cross-link the "Galleys" discussion board so it appears in all of these period-based topics:
ANCIENTS BOARDS MEDIEVAL BOARDS RENAISSANCE BOARDS
There are already postings to the Galleys board in all of these time periods (esp. Ancients and Renaissance), but at the moment the Galleys board only appears in ANCIENTS BOARDS. I'm suggesting we extend its appearance to the other time periods we already post about in there. - Ix |

PS: An argument can be made to add the Galleys board to the 18TH CENTURY BOARDS and NAPOLEONICS BOARDS as well, but I'd prefer to hold the discussion about that in a different thread since it's more likely to provoke disagreements. This thread is just about demonstrating consensus to include the Galleys board in all the Message Boards topics we already use it for. Please confine comments to a yes/no/why/why not meme, and avoid sidetracking into "we could also" or "why don't we instead". - Ix |

I'd be happy with naval boards with the spans of: Ancient: BC-1000 Medieval & Renaissance: 1000-1610. There's really not much sense in separating M&R, as there is no "leap" in design or technology. But mostly, individually they wouldn't generate much traffic, so why not lump them together? Age of Sail: 1610-1860. Birth of the "battleship"(ship of the line). Yes, with a few decades of "steam", but you might as well cut it off at- Ironclads (etc…). And yeah, a separate Pirates board. |

No. I would rather have posters make those types of decision. |
