"Create new NAVAL GAMING BOARDS topic in Message Boards" Topic

I'm clearly not the only naval gamer on TMP who would like to be able to find all the naval gaming discussion groups easily. Currently naval gaming discussion boards are hidden in various period-specific topics, and can be hard to find.

This is a request for a poll for a simple yes/no vote on the following simple addition:
1) Create new topic in Message Boards called NAVAL GAMING BOARDS
2) Cross-link all the following discussion boards to this new topic (without removing them from their period-specific topics):
Galleys
Napoleonic Naval Discussion
Napoleonic Naval Painting Guides
Pirates
Ironclads
Naval Gaming 1898-1929
WWII Naval Discussion
WWII Naval Gallery
WWII Naval Painting Guides
WWII Naval Product Reviews
Modern Naval Discussion
The above is a list of all the existing naval-only discussion boards I can find. If you know of any others, please add them.

Please don't sidetrack this thread with other issues or personal preferences. This is just about a single change that will benefit TMP site organization for all naval gamers. If you'd like to propose other changes/additions (such as individual board name changes, new boards, consolidating boards, etc.) please take that discussion to one of these other threads:

That is important. Let them be available in the periods they are in now, but also in the Naval Message Boards.

We do need to change
(1)the Napoleonic Naval Board to "Age of Fighting Sail Board"
(2)the Napoleonic Naval Painting Board "Age of Fight Sail Painting Board.

I oppose it, not out of an OFM-sh sense of curmudgeony, but because I see no reason to have every naval topic cross my eye when I don't care about a great deal of them.

But that's me, and it looks like the rest of you lot want it, so when this tepid groundswell brings us yet another board I will celebrate your creation by deselecting it, which will let you who like it whilst I do not suffer it.

That could be difficult. (I haven't looked at the Zone of Interest coding in years…)

That's a very confusing statement. I don't see how anything suggested in the OP would have this effect on you at all.

If Editor Bill does end up creating a new Zone of Interest for naval gaming, we might all have to go update our profiles to say "YES" or "NO" to a "Naval" area of interest, but I fail to see how this is a bad thing. If you don't want to see naval gaming postings, having a new Zone of Interest to filter them out would help, not hurt.
