Sure, why not.

Would work for crabbing, and commercial fishin' too.

If the size is right then, aside from having to cut it down to a waterline version, I guess I would have to do a lot of weathering to achieve this general look:

Distress it and add some armour plating and a couple of turret mounted weapons and you could have a sweet looking Post Apocalyptic Pirates sea faring vessel.

QUESTION:

What kind of deck gun is this?

But to see that gun in action, check out what happens starting at 6:07:

Who makes something like that for 15mm?

Thanks,

Dan

How about this artillery piece from Brigade models just add a custom mount to it instead of the wheels and toe bar.

WOW, Avamango!

That looks awesome. I must get one or two of those for sure.

Look at what I found about the deck gun in the film, as I continued my search:

The article says "Look like France 37-mm Hotchkiss tank gun of 1930s, used on R35 and H38 tanks."

I'd suggest looking at the Matchbox Shark Mega Rig boat. It's big enough, scales reasonably well, is highly modular, and will have a bunch of bits left over.

Nice idea, the only thing is I think in postapoc ppl will try to maintain the vehicles better when possible, long term goal vs the short term goal of the pirates (theirs is the get rich quick thing). I would envision lots of patching done to the boat and containers on top (like the pirate boat).

Other good Cars 2 finds:

A decently scaled small jet liner…

The back ramp goes down and it opens up which would make it extremely easy to detail, and it looks high tech enough that with some minor mods it could work as a space plane

A stealth boat! Great for scifi! Its looks lend it to being used as a small, bulky star ship if you put engines and wings on it

You can also battle The Discovery Channel over royalty payments for your part in the TV series Deadliest Catch too, both on the water, and in the court system.

;-)

Perhaps going rogue, and using firehoses on non-sympathetic boats, crews, and cameramen who fail to comply with your boycott of the series.

It will most likely be sad for us stateside, but what brand/company did those come from?

Cacique Caribe12 Nov 2011 1:12 p.m. PST

Yes! Please tell. Please, please.

They have been scratch built.
I need to strip them down and make them castable, I hope to get them released the end of January at the latest. Along with a couple of others.
