Two weeks ago our neighborhood got its first gang grafitti. It was quickly sand-blasted or power-sprayed locals, leaving the wall nice and clean.

But this gave me an idea . . . another one of my crazy ideas . . .

WHAT IF alien crop circles were really just the visible signs of a long-standing turf war between rival extraterrestrial gangs? Maybe cereologists got it all wrong. Instead of the aliens using their crop circles to communicate with us, they are really just stamping their mark on us and our lands!

If that's the case, can you imagine the confusion and violence created by hoaxers who, unwittingly, make one extraterrestrial gang think that their territory is being violated by another extraterrestrial gang?

Maybe that's how we'll beat those people-probing, cattle-mutilating aliens in the end! We'll get the rival gangs to kill each other by sparking turf war after turf war.

OK. Enough of that.

QUESTION:

For the sake of making miniature alien crop circles and incorporating them into games, are there any crop circle designs you have found to be cool yet appropriate for a gaming table? Got a favorite?

Thanks,

Dan

Space Gang Wars has a nice ring to it.

Can you imagine all the different "colors", "signs", etc. they would use?

Or would they be a bit more inconspicuous, like some of the less flashy cartels?

Great idea…um….Dan…what meds ARE you taking? Lol. I saw a picture of a crop circle (photoshopped) of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy face (smiley with tongue hanging out and thumbs in the ears)that I thought was a hoot. I wonder if you could carve one into a piece of shag carpet and use as a field for gaming?

Meds? Funny you should ask. I refilled all of them today. Quite a cocktail too. :)

If I was using figures of a squishy nature for the invaders, something like this (but simpler, of course), might be just the ticket:

I don't know about a fav design but I once heard a gal say she thought she might get a crop circle design tattoo. Then when somebody asked her what her tattoo meant she could say, 'what tattoo?'
