These are the figures . . . link picture picture link TMP link And this is the Kazon "Torpedo" (by Monogram) I'm asking about . . . picture link auction Length = 24.3 cm Width = 8.4 cm Height = 7.3 cm I'm thinking of having it as a crash landed piece, with the GZG alien mercenaries pouring out to kick some butt of anyone that comes to investigate. QUESTIONS: Do you guys think that this ship would fit well with them? What do you say? Too big? Too small? Not the right style? Thanks. Dan PS. These might be in the mix as well: link link link |

Redroom, does it look "industrial" ("orky") enough, as is? Or should I try to find something more like the ships used by the Serenity Reavers? picture picture picture picture Dan TMP link |

I've got that model and like it a lot. Making it orky would depends a bit on how you paint it
but I think it's full of ork potential. You could Reaver it up by adding on bits of extra armor plating and spikey bits. Strap some corpses onto the prow. |

Here's another view of the model: link |

Oooooo, nice!!! Thanks for that link. However, it may not be the same model I was thinking of. That link says that the dimensions are . . . Model size Length: 34 cm Height: 14 cm Width: 16 cm versus this, which I thought were the dimensions for the Monogram one (Monogram kit 3608) . . . Length = 24.3 cm Width = 8.4 cm Height = 7.3 cm link I kinda like the idea of the smaller dimensions, as it will keep the model from taking over the entire playing surface. Dan |

More: link Well, according to this, the Kazon torpedo is supposed to be 8 meters in length: link picture link Dan |

The model I've got is about a foot long
give or take
but I don't have it handy to measure. I've never seen a bigger version
maybe some resin garage kit somewhere
but the one you link is the same as mine. |

To me it looks functional like I would perceive orks or mangalores using. The GW scrap heap orc ships arent that practical. |

What did the Mangalore ship look like in 5th Element? Any links to images? Thanks. Dan |
Space Monkey | 08 Dec 2009 10:20 a.m. PST |
I don't remember there being a Mangalore ship

"I don't remember there being a Mangalore ship
" I think they used Zorg produced fighters at the begining of the movie to take down the Mondo'Chiwan (Monda'Chiwan
whatever?) vessel. Anyway, go for the Kazon torpedo C.C. I think it would make a cool dropship. |

It was one of the first models I converted for 15mm

Just thought of something . . . If someone is into this sort of stuff, and if the hull piece is split into a top and bottom section, you could actually turn this model into some sort of waterline SF submarine (a Post Apocalyptic "Nautilus"?). Dan TMP link |

That model has a lot of potential to it. Even if you chopped it in half lengthways and added rotating VTOL engines and landing gear, it would still be a great ship for not much kitbashing effort. |

Mondo'Chiwan (Monda'Chiwan
whatever?) Mondoshawan (pronounced "Mon-do-SHEE-wan") according to various sources. |

Yeppers. Have one that is a generic ship for sci fi gaming (28mm and 15mm, there is not much detail like windows or hatches, so scale is not a problemn.) I find that particuilar model at Big Lots once or twice a year, for $5. USD |
