I'll be using these guys as Super Mutants for my DC 2150 setting.

They were quite the pleasure to paint and justify further my reasons for switching to 15mm for this project. Hat off to Jon at GZG for supplying such awsome figs.

Beautiful minis and amazing paint job. And now a word from our sponsor on those mercs' weapons:

It's light… the handle's adjustable for easy carrying… good for righties and lefties. … Breaks down into four parts, undetectable by X-rays.. It's the ideal weapon for quick, discreet interventions. A word on fire power: Titanium recharger. 3000 round clip with bursts of 3 to 300. With the replay button, another Zorg innovation, it's even easier… one shot… and replay sends every following shot to the same location… I recharge, but the enemy has launched a cowardly sneak attack from behind, the automirror takes care of that. Gives me the time to turn around and finish the job. 300 round bursts, then there are the Zorg oldies… Rocket launcher. The always efficient flame thrower… My favorite. Our famous net launcher, the arrow launcher, with exploding or poisonous gas heads – very practical. And for the grand finale, the all-new ice-cube system!

:)

I love that movie. :) Zorg is my role model.

I didn't see it discussed on your blog (probably overlooked) but what did you use for bases?

Chrome Cat15 Dec 2009 7:56 p.m. PST

No, i haven't shared that technique yet.

I just use washers. Then use putty to build the washer up to the feet of the mini to conceal the integral base.

It's a little time consuming but gets quicker as you practice and i like the effect.

I like the effect, too :) Very nicely done on basing and painting. Thanks for sharing the method.

Beautiful job on those. I'm glad you posted that, because it's hard to see the features of these figures from GZG's bare-metal photo. I can see now that those are really nice figures!

Those look very nice

If only someone (GZG?) would make head sprues like this for them . . .

Dan,

You are good enough with green stuff you could easily modify the existing heads on them to look more apelike.
