Get the first glimpse of GZG's new 15mm Sci Fi 'Crusties' on Dropship Horizon: link If response proves to be good, Jon will expand the range with more weapon types. Cheers Mark |

Well at least they're not space kitty kats
or space dogs. Seriously they look good. -B6 |

Break out the cat food, that will distract them! |
Privateer4hire | 12 Oct 2009 4:26 p.m. PST |
Thanks for the pics. What are they supposed to be (species wise?) |
Top Gun Ace | 12 Oct 2009 4:42 p.m. PST |
Those look very interesting, and somewhat familiar. I'll buy a bunch, if the larger, super-weapons are made for them
Of course, we'll need them by Saturday, so we can include them in the order with the new, New Israeli troops too. Agreed, someone please prime in gray, or at least do a nice black wash, so we can see some of the detailing. I'm still hoping for the flying grav/rocket/jetpack troops in battle armor too

John Leahy | 12 Oct 2009 6:08 p.m. PST |
Yeah, they look interesting. Seems likes lots of detail just couldn't make it out. Thanks, John |

Awesomeness! Just add a HEAP bombardment and liberal amounts of hollandaise sauce
|
Stuuuh | 13 Oct 2009 3:41 p.m. PST |
I'd really like to see unarmed civilian versions of these too
A great way to reuse AK-47 Republic shanties |

what could I use for a 15mm Wikus? picture |
Cacique Caribe | 13 Oct 2009 11:25 p.m. PST |
"Available soon. Possibly in time for SELWG this coming weekend, but definitely the week after." Sorry. Soon is not good enough! I want them now!!! Could we get them sooner than soon? :) CC |
Top Gun Ace | 13 Oct 2009 11:46 p.m. PST |
Some figures with their weapons shouldered, as if sighting, or firing would be nice. More weapons options too please, since I'm going to need a bunch of these. One of the nicest looking alien races I have seen in 15mm scale. |
Cacique Caribe | 13 Oct 2009 11:55 p.m. PST |
"Some figures with their weapons shouldered, as if sighting, or firing would be nice." Yes, Jon. What Top Gun Ace said. CC |
Cacique Caribe | 14 Oct 2009 12:06 a.m. PST |
A couple of unarmed ones would be good too: picture picture link They could be used as unarmed leaders or as "civilians". CC |

Meh, 15mm. If they were for their 25mm range I'd be all over them. |
28mmMan | 14 Oct 2009 7:58 a.m. PST |
"Just add a HEAP bombardment and liberal amounts of hollandaise sauce
" No no no
the appropriate sauce is a maltaise sauce, my main passion in life being cooking I can tell you first hand this is a nicer sauce for shellfish
It is based upon the hollandaise recipe, most sauces are based upon one of the five mother sauces, but it differs with the exclusion of the lemon and the addition of oranges (usually blood orange
close in flavor but a nice red wine color) and hot peppers. Or even an aigre douce version with the acid being replaced with balsamic vinegar
this is fantastic on lobster, I won a mystery basket contest with this sauce and spiny lobster. mmmmm alien lobster mmmmm |
ZeroGee2 | 14 Oct 2009 8:53 a.m. PST |
"mmmmm alien lobster mmmmm" Actually, this all makes a rather refreshing change from the more normal human v. alien scenario of THEM eating US
. ;-) An interesting ethical problem: your enemy (who is, after all, trying hard to kill you) is non-human, but turns out to taste delicious – are the grunts on the ground going to be tempted to supplement their MREs
.? Jon (GZG) |
daddyslittlemen | 14 Oct 2009 9:24 a.m. PST |
Jon, I imagine this being discovered in rather *desperate* circumstances. i.e. troops cut off from all supply on a beseiged planet. |
Top Gun Ace | 14 Oct 2009 10:53 a.m. PST |
"
.are the grunts on the ground going to be tempted to supplement their MREs
."? Of course, although it will be frowned upon by PETA, the UN, and the ACLU
.. I prefer mine fried, and served with ketchup, and crispy french fries. Grilled, with melted butter, or served with Old Bay Seasoning is excellent too. Serve with a baked potato, or boiled new potatoes, hush puppies (no, not real puppies), or french or sourdough bread. |

Jon (GZG), Check out this older discussion on that subject: "What if aliens taste good? In fact what if they taste great! Instead of invading a bug planet, you would be harvesting a bug planet. Mmmmm

Top Gun Ace | 14 Oct 2009 11:56 a.m. PST |
They'll probably be addictive, like Dorito's, or potato chips, so you can't eat just one
.. |
28mmMan | 14 Oct 2009 12:00 p.m. PST |
Once we found actual aliens and they were aggresive and dangerous, church and state would change dramaticly, public opinion would shift, although eating them would be several steps down that long staircase into hell
it may happen. I suspect once we can deal with eating intelligent beings then all kinds of restrictions would fall to the wayside. But with enough garic, butter, and crispy bacon all things seem better. mmmm alien bacon mmmmm

Some would argue (ok, maybe just DWW) that cephalopods are intelligent life. Yet, most people love calamari. :) CC |

Of course, although it will be frowned upon by PETA, the UN, and the ACLU
.. Typical of those undermining leftie organizations, not wanting us to eat other sentients and all. Meanwhile, it's quite possible that eating prawn has the same effect as being sprayed with prawn essence. So, chow down Top Gun Ace! |
28mmMan | 14 Oct 2009 1:40 p.m. PST |
"Meanwhile, it's quite possible that eating prawn has the same effect as being sprayed with prawn essence" Possible but doubtful as the process of cooking is a controlled effort to break down or prepare tissue/flesh/soilds/etc. into a medium that can be consumed. If cooked with high heat/pressure then the cell walls would be broken down. If cooked with acid then the cell walls are chemically breached. But if not cooked at all, sushi (w/rice) or sashimi (no rice) or tartare' (finely chopped), then it would be all bets off. That said, didn't the slum gang partake in prawn to try and gain supernatural powers? |
