Something like these, with mechanical tentacles, BUT small enough to crawl into 28mm (or even 15mm) tunnels and small corridors?

Check out the little fella on the lower left:

I would love to see that, but about the size of a dog for 28mm figures!

Sort of thing Black Autumn Productions might be able to pull off?

What you say Michael?

DWW needs to get in on this…

Have a look at the Reviresco stuff in their Starguard range. John does excellent machinery and he has a very complete line of robots, guard drones & the like with wheels, tracks, tentacles – whatever.

Both-these look great!

Sure I can do it, and there are some support beings for my crazy ZiZixx race, that look a bit like the images CC posted…so I will be doing it, kind of.

However the good chap Pole Bitwy PL seems to be going that way for a real Not-Matrix piece, where as mine are more Bio-Beast like.

Let's see what Pole Bitwy PL is going to do first.
Lol…I offered to send him some of my Trikalan (Jelly Fellows) if he goes with the matrix idea for his new sculpts.

Infinity. Either the Obsidon Mechaniod link or the Slave drones picture would work.

The Obsidon is on a 40mm base, while the Slave drones are on a 25mm base. They are pretty spendy, however. Obsidon is 13 euros, a pair of Slave drones are 10 euros.

I think that "Terminator: Salvation" depicted a brilliant way to seek out hidden humans was the robotic snake. And it is certainly in line with what has already been attempted by Japanese and Israelis:

If that doesn't have a "pest control" feel to it, I don't know what else would.

some forums ban people for resurrecting long dead threads like this one. unfortunately, this is not one of those forums.

Cacique Caribe11 Dec 2009 3:37 p.m. PST

Imagine that! Forums that re-invent the wheel time and time again. The perfect definition of insanity and stupidity.

They wouldn't have to bother banning me. I would not want to belong to any such idiotic forums anyway. So there!

Compared to some threads that have risen to the top recently, this one is hardly "long dead".

Why is it I'm now tempted to find old threads and post something to them just to get them back into circulation?

But on topic … anything robotic (and not too huge) would interest me if it fit into a 28mm (ish) world. I can always find a use for robots.

Cacique Caribe11 Dec 2009 5:58 p.m. PST

LOL!

Hey, if it was something good for the "28mm(is) world", being robotic, it could work for 15mm too!
