They are about the same
. I have both on the painting table right now, the styles are slightly different but will work. |

InfoJunky, Thanks for the feedback. On the issue of style, I guess I could make it seem as though they were different teams. Just as long as they did not look disproportionately large or small so as not to be recognizable as part of the same human forces. CC |

Hi CC, I've got 5 packs of the RAFM Infantry Pack No.1 waiting to be painted. I'll pop a comparison pic with the GZG EVA miniatures up on the blog this evening. Cheers Mark dropshiphorizon.blogspot.com |

One of the best episodes in MASS EFFECT on the XBOX360 was the fight on the exterior of The Citadel. It was cool watching your enemies fly off into space when you killed them. Cheers Mark |

"MASS EFFECT on the XBOX360" I must look that up. Sounds cool. CC |

Stole 20 hours of my life over the Christmas and New Year break. I had 3 campaigns running at once – brilliant! Lot's of ideas for mini campaigns, episodic skirmish games, guncrawls and some cool sci fi outfits. Cheers Mark |

Thanks for the comparison, Mark – those look real good. Re: Mass Effect. It's a good game – you've got to play the 'evil' side sometime, Renegade; some of the cutscenes are a lot of fun. |

I really like that photo too: link Puts everything in perspective. QUESTION: What size bases/washers do you guys use on them? Yes, yes. I know. Spoken like a newbie. CC |

What size bases/washers do you guys use on them? Yes, yes. I know. Spoken like a newbie. Hey, I'm a 15mm newbie, too – they should be happy to field such questions from us converts! Since I'm going to be using Ambush Alley, my basing scheme is something like this: 15-20mm bases (not sure which yet) Round for standard troopers Square for heavy/special weapons Hexagonal for leaders |
infojunky | 28 Jan 2009 12:49 a.m. PST |
I use 15mm bases from Litko. |

Mass effect background info masseffected.pbwiki.com , it's a good game and has lots of ideas for games. One of the best episodes in MASS EFFECT on the XBOX360 was the fight on the exterior of The Citadel. It was cool watching your enemies fly off into space when you killed them.Cheers Mark It's probably the best 'battle' in the game, its been a while since I played it. I will have to dust off my copy and have another go. (I completed it about six times)

Oh and the new vacc-suit guys would make good quarians. |
Cacique Caribe | 28 Jan 2009 6:36 a.m. PST |
Mark, I imagine that the GZG Heavies (SG15-V14 Armed crew figures in heavy EVA suits) also look good next to the RAFM vacc-suit guys? link Because the RAFM definitely look great next to the light GZG guys: link link CC |

I went ahead and placed an order for two sets of the RAFM (18 figures total). Now I have something to make me look forward to mail delivery when I get home. CC PS. I'm having to cut my work trip short for health reasons, plus just lost a close friend to heart attack – I think it's time to go home for a while. |

For a space scavenger group in EVA suits, which ones do you think would work best? The RAFM or the GZG? Like the ones shown the first few minutes of this Firefly episode: link And what about for the military authority troops in EVA suits (if they have them)? The RAFM or GZG? link link link link link CC |
