They run Thundar virtually commercial free with a Birdman short at 1am each night on Boomerang. I have burned a dozen episodes or so to dvd. Thanks, John |

You know, when Thundarr was on TV, I was barely concious, but having seen it nonetheless in re-run growing up
why??? That would be like me wanting to game Voltron
or transformers

Jack Kirby did some design work for that show. you can really see his influence in the villain whose head spins around. Long live King Kirby! |

My favorite episode was the one where four wizards each had a team competing in a race for some magical item. |

I don't mean to skew the thread. But does anyone remember when Jack Kerby jumped over to DC commics? New Gods, Orion, Jimmy Olson Newboy Legue. Mr. Miracle? The Evil Darkside and Granny Goodness? Man I loved that work. 8) |

Dammit, CC, now I can't stop thinking about how cool 28mm scale Thundarr (and Ariel and Ookla) miniatures would be. With mounted and foot versions of each, of course. Dammit damit dammit. I need focus, man!!!!! |

Alex, And be sure to get Ookla on a proper lizard-horse thingy, not a boring old regular horse. |
John Leahy | 19 Dec 2008 10:48 a.m. PST |
CC, the 1st pic are 15mm figs. The second pic is 25mm. Ookla is a converted Heroclixfig IIRC. Thanks, John |

From the first episode: THUNDARR: "There can't be more than fifty of them. I'll be fine." Words to live by! |

I've been looking for Thundarr figures in 28mm for years. |
Mugwump | 21 Dec 2008 5:20 a.m. PST |
I never caught Thundarr when it was on TV; even though I was running Gamma World 1st at the time. I managed to catch the first couple of episodes on youtube though. Definetly wacked out but great for visuals for a post apoc., game though. M- I also believe there is a Savage Worlds RPG conversion for him. |
