I've found a few, including this one: picture Does anyone have any other "nice" links with images of massive fictional devastation, from film, concept art, etc.? Thanks. CC |

I'd like to know a cheap way to fill an entire table with 28mm terrain like this (for a Terminator-style game I plan on doing using AT-43 figures and a modified version of Two Hour Wargames, All Things Zombie rules). |

foamcore is what you want to use Saladin. |

6ft x 4ft city table for about £20.00. Much less if you do a ruined version. link |

I personally like the terrian featured in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. It's kind of a mismatch of terrians. |

"CC got me thinking about doing terminator games now." Sorry mate! :) CC |
Earl of the North | 11 May 2007 11:29 a.m. PST |
No need to apologise, just got me thinking about it thats all, maybe limiting the skynet to one sub in its intial attack, nuked eastern seaboard, world in turmoil, mixed human forces and skynet's military spreading out from a central hub to conquer the world
must go and lie down for a while
okay i'm fine. |

All of these concept art images could easily be used for terrain inspiration in a Caprica resistance game too! TMP link TMP link TMP link CC |

Fallout & Fallout 2- good times playing those! Wish they made more in that vein rather than the real time stuff :( |
Captain Apathy | 13 May 2007 6:45 a.m. PST |
Tell me about it. The Fallout series and its predecessor Wasteland were great RPGs. |
RubberRonnie | 13 May 2007 7:16 a.m. PST |
I read in a PC magazine 2-3 weeks ago that a new Fallout game is on it's way, trouble is I can't remember who's making it. It's going to be 1st person, rather than the old style isometric. |
Captain Apathy | 13 May 2007 7:56 a.m. PST |
Interesting. To tie it back to the original thread, here are some screencaps that might make for interesting terrain. link link Interestingly enough, one of the screenshots is of Washington DC. |
Thornhammer | 13 May 2007 8:44 a.m. PST |
Bethesda is making the new Fallout game, the same folks who brought you Morrowind and Oblivion. So they know how to do First Person right. |

Captain Apathy, That screenshot of DC is fantastic! It almost reminds me ot the overgrown DC shown in "Logan's Run". CC |

With the types of terrain resistance soldiers such as these would encounter . . . TMP link . . . Would they benefit from urban camo of this type? link link CC |

CC – Your urban cammo question depends on who your soldiers were fighting. If they are fight other humans, than sure urban cammo would help. Anything that breaks the soldiers silhouette and blends in with the surrounding environment would help. However, if your soldiers are fighting machines (ala Terminators) then cammo wouldn't help much. In that case, functionality and ease of production would be important. Also, if your soldiers are fighting aliens, then urban cammo schemes might not work. Especially with the aliens see a different protion of the light spectrum than humnas do. For all we know Bright Pink polka dots might do the trick for blending in with an aliens perception of the landscape. ; ) CapAp |

"Bright Pink polka dots"? Hmmm. There's an idea I had never considered before, even in my wildest dreams! CC |

Hehe
kust make sure you post pics when you use that cammo scheme. ; ) |

Aric, many thanks – that was the site I mentioned earlier. Spooky pix – and in Chapter 8, the last photo shows a derelict tank in someone's back garden – any ideas on what it is? |
