A 'killer kangaroo' and a 'demon duck of doom' no less… 10-20 million years ago…

There was definitely some mean-looking fauna in Australia, all the way to the appearance of humans (which makes for some interesting gaming scenarios):

All we need now is appropriate figures (for Australian humans and animals):

Wish they'd had some pictures of the fossils…

I think the trnslation of "Bullockornis" might have a more crude affectation in current use. I know I wouldn't want to get them bit by this guy. Isn't there also a giant croc adapted to land predation as well? Pristichampus, or "Panzercrocs". Dangerous place with lots of game potential!

On your killer 'roos I just have visions of a Steve Irwinish feller being stalked by one or even a bunch.

I used to work for Discovery Channel stores and we not only sold but ran his videos and dvds all the time. I really should have claimed mental disability and worksman compensation from having to see him get spat in the face by all those spitting cobras and then getting all excited over it. Poor damned snakes if you ask me.

Without seeing where the relationship actually is – I think its a bit of a wishful stretch to call that a "killer 'roo."
