PS. I am glad to have access to TMP again!

Or male and female of the same species? grin

Cacique Caribe30 Jun 2006 8:12 p.m. PST

I guess there are more of the pro-nudity faction . . .

The Brigade Games Greys ones are quite nice. Thank you for the link, Cacique Caribe.

Now, being ALIENS, there may be females in the mix already. Who says the females of their species resemble Betty Page? :)

mweaver30 Jun 2006 9:38 p.m. PST

Do a Dr. Seuss and build two forces of the nekkid ones, but paints stars on the tummies of half of them.

Welcome back.

Saxondog01 Jul 2006 1:51 a.m. PST

OK, that explains the aliens in "Signs". Two factions. The nudes lookinf for a nice place to "hang out" and the others out to stop their fun.

ChrisGermanicus01 Jul 2006 3:16 a.m. PST

>Who says the females of their species resemble Betty Page? :)<

I say! Hmmm… Betty Page in a Space Suit. Hmmm. Hmmmmm…

Alright, enough with the incessant humming. Iīve always wondered why those little Aliens donīt wear protective suits while on a potentially hazardous outdoor mission…

White Elks 10 String Guitar01 Jul 2006 4:51 a.m. PST

Betty Page as Dale Arden.
That would have been
a good Flash Gordon;
Surreal!

Lon,

I think they look FANTASTIC in their space suits!!

Will all 6 variants be posted on the Brigade website? Will there be more variants in the near future (like scientists, technicians and more warriors and leaders)?

Thanks.

Moot….greys are sexless.

Broadsword01 Jul 2006 10:20 a.m. PST

ChrisGermanicus hmmed: "Betty Page in a Space Suit."

Yep. Those are needed. In 28mm, please.

Personal logo Dances With Words Supporting Member of TMP Fezian01 Jul 2006 1:45 p.m. PST

Well, until SOMEONE does a decent Betty Page in a skin-tight spacesuit as a '28mm' metal figure…(with clear helmet of course)…without all the priciness of the larger/oop resin kits…I'll GLADLY subscribe to THIS set of 'greys'…(as the first of what will be many other 'fun' alien/greys/etc like this set???) I even signed up for the brigade group so I can follow the 'news' on them…I can't wait!

I love the fact that (around September) Lon is planning on adding to the 6 variants already on the list. I can't wait to see what other greys he has in store . . .

The lance and laser minis are a little more "cartoony". However, you can't beat the price of the plastic versions: 10 Greys for $10.00 USD US. I don't know if the plastics are still available, but they paint up nicely. I have abut 50 or so of these bad boys. L&L was selling them cheap at GENCON several years ago, when they shared a booth with Fortress Figs.

Cacique Caribe02 Jul 2006 7:34 p.m. PST

Are/were those plastic ones from Fortress then?

"Moot….greys are sexless."

So are many gamers, but you don't see them running around naked, do you? Thank heavens… :)

I'd like to see the "little green men" from "Invasion of the Saucer Men". But first and foremost, an accurate set of figs from the 1930's "Flash Gordon" in 28mm.

1905Adventure09 Aug 2006 10:51 p.m. PST

Are the Griffin Miniatures ones still available? I seem to remember there being problems with the company or something.

Anyone have a source?

Mexican Bandido15 Aug 2006 8:30 a.m. PST

uh-oh…
…I feel a Men-In-Black posse coming on!

SeattleGamer15 Aug 2006 6:55 p.m. PST

Griffin Greys are available thru Magnificiant Egos.
magnificentegos.com

I seem to recall a recent post where the question was asked if this was a close-out of remaining stock, or if this was an on-going line, simply being sold now through ME. I don't recall the answer however.

>>Who says the females of their species resemble Betty Page? :)<<

What? Of course they do! Rule one of pulp sci-fi alien species design- no matter how hideous the males are, the females are always smoking hot. ;)

Could they work for Copplestone Greys?

CC

StarfuryXL502 Jul 2008 8:20 a.m. PST

Mine isn't handy, but I recall it's about 2, 2-1/2 inches long, like a standard Matchbox car. The wings fold down.

Maybe one Grey could squeeze itself in, but it'd be a really tight fit.
