I stumbled upon this little bit of news while surfing around FrothersUK and just confirmed it with a search of the ME website
link Appologies if this is old news. |

Has anyone let DWW know this? Good news that these are back in production, but raises some questions. I wonder what the story behind all the "exclusive" Harbinger Mag minis now being available for general sale from a totally different company is
And what about those of us who still haven't received our final issue or compensation from Harbinger Nag? |
Dravi74 | 28 Jun 2006 1:51 p.m. PST |
CBPIII, I agree about the compensation. I had just taken out a subscription when they pulled the plug. I would have happily just taken back orders to fill out, but never heard anything. I for one would be interested in how this all works out. |

The story going around at the time was that the Harbinger staff got their plug pulled by their "investor" to the point of not even being able to ship the last *published* issue to the US. Whatever the Harbinger staffers desires on the matter of outstanding fulfillment (which I'm not privy to), "no money" is "no money". |

Most recent news I have is that one of the Harbinger crew is going to continue the mag as a PDF publication with the option to get print quality articles that interest you for a small fee ($1.00 was stated), with hopes of getting it up and running at some distant point in the future as a regular print mag again. He also stated that contact would be made with subscription customers and a payment plan of some sort worked out. Mind you, I can't confirm any of this. I actually posted this thread with DWW in mind. |

Ehh — I want them for gaming, but in units, not as RPG figures or for collecting and show painting. At over $3.00 USD apiece they just aren't worth buying, so their rerelease at this price point just doesn't matter
Best of luck for sales to Magnificent Egos, but no thanks. |
Hundvig | 28 Jun 2006 4:31 p.m. PST |
Huh? Three dollars per figure is low-average pricing for 28mm scifi minis. Intresting that they didn't release the "two-gun angel" harbinger mini. Only one I actually have

Tells you how long it is since I bought 28mm sci-fi minis, then. |

These other <<aliens>> seem to also be $3 USD each: link |

Hundvig, that angel mini was the the buy-a-subscription incentive, as opposed to the others which were available even if you only bought the relevant mag from WHSmiths or something. |

Thanks for the info paintbeast. I'm not holding my breath, but I hope they get something sorted out, for their own benefit. |

Thanks for the link, RC. And I like those better than the Griffon/Magnificent Egos aliens anyway. I've added them to my shopping list. |

I've got the complete set of the original Griffin greys, and Copplestone and GZG varieties
etc. I'm hopeing Griffin will to MORE of them/re-release the dude in the hoverchair and other 'goodies' I was told about..long ago. I like the Brigade Games 'grey' with raygun, but wish there was more than one pose? Still, I'll have to see if Surfer can scarf one or two up for me since they're made in the UK, right??? I know Jay Miller did some 'masters' for wim/brassing and varients
but don't know if he'd doing that with THW or by himself at the moment, but hopefully they will come out one way or another, and we were talking about his 'bug-bits-builder' mold for more 'buggy stuff' too. I'm still waiting to see when David S/Bronze Age, will get the chance to do the 'Infectoid/varient' set
based on a single figure/4-figure 'varient' set originally done for the old DGUSA lines. I still have 'fondness' for the Griffin Greys, but since they never followed up with them/responded to any further emails about them, etc
I'm not holding my breath. John Meeks did some 'hybrid greys' which he had Iron Wind Metals cast up
but never got that set either. They would have been a cool addition to generic scifi/VSF or THW stuff
I've got a few sculpts myself done by others
and a couple I've started on some 'grey-types'
Brian Cooke is doing/done one and Jay has done another. Maybe we can get them together with some male versions
(or maybe and ALL Alien Sex Doll invasion set???? 8-) One can always hope that 'close encounters of the third kind' are 'safe sex' practices without Tentacles??? No, I'm not really 'back'
this is just a 'fig newton of your imagination'
pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
urm

DWW, ME is releasing the hover chair guy. I'm at Origins now, and just bought one from them. Little high at $9.50, but since I have the rest waiting for a leader, I decided it was worth it. They're not on the ME site yet, but should be after the con. |
Dances With Words | 30 Jun 2006 2:36 p.m. PST |
ooooohhhh
.I can't wait! I'll be sure to check their site after Origins
do you know if they are re-releasing the CRAVID or MORE 'greys' or some of the other aliens they were promising way back when???? Carpe' Tentacle'um of Doom

I forgot to ask about the Cravid, sorry. I don't think they had plans to expand the grey line at the moment, no. |
