I'm thinking I would like to grab eureka's boats with Ahab etc and maybe put on a game at the club. Anyone recommend any rules to me?

Hope this works, the Greenpeace version:

Also, Wargames Illustrated #99, I think, has the more traditional whale hunting rules

You might try to adapt Mammilian Mayhem, which is quite a good set for animal hunting on land.

I have a pdf of WI#99 with the article mjkerner, mentions 'Moby Dick – the Wargame by Chris Peers'. I could email screen shots of the relevant pages if you can't get it any other way.

I never would of thought that Moby Dick / whale hunting could be a miniature game, but now I think that is an amazing idea.

And if too many save the whale protesters try to stop the game, pull out a Kraken figure instead. Or perhaps a sea serpent. :)

You need to always have a "Plan B". After all, the show must go on!

Try an email to Eureka, I know they. or some of their minions, ran some games at a Games Day when the figures were releaased.

Jason

Perhaps if you can find some tentacles* for this one?

Reaper has a few versions. This is just one:

Like I said, if you are suddenly surrounded by an angry crowd carrying save the whales picket signs (and perhaps torches and pitchforks), just take out the Kraken and make them all look silly. :)

Always have a Plan B. And C, D …

* Or are these the ones for that piece?

BillyNM- Is there any way I could get those rules email to me? I've been building up a hoard of 15mm boats, and need some good rules for Whalin' Men.
If so, I'd very much appreciate it, minibeady(@)yahoo.com

So, how is that whaling or Kraken-ing game coming along? :)
