For those of you with 15mm ACW figures, and with also the occasional taste for the exotic …

1) Have you read "Rally Cry" by Forstchen?

2) If so, have you thought about gaming your ACW troops against Tugars?

3) Then how about these guys, but on horses? The would all need quivers, of course:

4) Other thoughts and/or ideas?

An old series, never finished before he got sidetracked by his armegeddon and Newt stuff, but good reading.

I tried a few battles a couple of decades back using 28mm metal Orcs against 20mm plastic Airfix. It scaled about right for figures. But even with a bunch of in-house rules, the Johney Reb rules did not quite fit and I didn't want to go into WRG…

I used the Lord of the Rings Goblins mounted on 20mm horses for the Tugars.

I think these guys would work.

Miniatures from khurasan fantasy black powder. Just use 10mm ACW figures for the good guys.

I have red the entire series even down to the last one where the story advances further and the sons and daughters of the main characters have come to the forefront.

Have I ever played it no. Would I love to? Yes! I guess you could always use a 20mm mongol figure if it was available as a Tugar. The later Merki and Bantag would be much tougher because now your talking about arming the said mongol figure with rifles etc.
