Does anyone know if Forstchen will be writing any more books for the Lost Regiment series. |

Wow that was a flash back to a long time ago thinking about the last one I read. Lets see they were up to biplanes and carriers, wondered how that war went. |

Surely by now they have nuked whatever great man eating horde of giant semi primitives came next? |

Irish if you go to his website it does not look like it. Down to the Sea was the last book in a great series but that wax 12 years ago. He is currently MIA and have not seen a book from him in sometime. The last book I read of his was "One Second After." There is a series called The Destroyermen but not as good if you ask me. I have always wanted to do a game like this but what figures would you use? 15mm ACW and make the Tugar/Merki/Bantag hordes a 20mm model
but what kind? Is there a figure suited towards the horde? |

Actually he's out there. He's writing historical fiction now-a-days with Newt Gingrich: link |

There is also a trilogy that shows what might have happened had Lee won at Gettysburg. I think Newt takes care of the history and Forstchen does the battles. |

The Forschen-Gingrich team does a good job writing about the dilemma of winning yourself to death. Too many victories for the South cost them too much. huh? I thought that only worked when you fought the Russians who didn't know they were defeated. |

Well, there was this Greek general who said something like "Another victory like this and we're undone". I think some of the South's victories were like that. |

T remember Forstchen saying that he'll write some Lost Regiment books around the time he was writing the alternate ACw trilogy but that was years ago. Maybe he's lost interest in the series. Shame as the last book was very open ended. Last I heard, Tom Cruise's production company acquired the rights to the series. |

"Last I heard, Tom Cruise's production company acquired the rights to the series." I'll agree to Tom Cruise as the Union commander--if I can cut his arm off personallly to get him prepared for his role. |
