Reminds my of the libertalia raider settlement in Fallout 4

Wow. There's definitely a similarity. Dan |

Man that would make for a great looking game. |
GurKhan | 18 Aug 2017 4:40 a.m. PST |
Reminds me off the film Waterworld. |
Vigilant | 18 Aug 2017 5:26 a.m. PST |
Nice. Keep toying with the idea of using the upper levels of Sarissa buildings to produce something similar, with rope bridges between rooftops or windows. |

CC, I really like the drawing style of those illustrations. Crisp colours and clear lines. And the surroundings on the top picture! Collapsed bridge. Sunk houses. Those two whales at the bottom. Right measure of inspirational and terrifying. |

Suitable for a lake, but not likely to last in any kind of seaway. But love the drawing style! |

There is also a lot of small floating outposts in Fallout 4 unfortunately there is no real pay off to swimming out to explore them…..just a bit of junk and the skeletons of those who tried to survive offshore. |

I really hate myself for clicking on your posts, Cacique. You do nothing but dump supreme unleaded on my sparking wargaming id. There is also a lot of small floating outposts in Fallout 4 unfortunately there is no real pay off to swimming out to explore them…..just a bit of junk and the skeletons of those who tried to survive offshore. And all those dead icthyosaur -things on the beach, but not one living thing in the ocean. What a waste! |
The Angry Piper | 18 Aug 2017 8:41 a.m. PST |
I cleared Libertalia with my custom supressed .50 sniper rifle, "Sarah's Smile." Twice (so far). Those raider scum never saw me comin'. |

Beast: "You do nothing but dump supreme unleaded on my sparking wargaming id." Lol. Well, though I'm not seeing my dream take shape yet, the way I would like, it would be very wrong of me to stop feeding the fires of your very own dream of a PA water park. :) Dan TMP link TMP link

SMOKEEEEERRRRRRRS!!!! Just watch that last night |
Cacique Caribe | 20 Aug 2017 2:50 a.m. PST |
Bandit86, You've just made me watch it yet again. That atoll battle is insane! :) Dan PS. I still would have preferred a movie with tops of buildings sticking out of the water and people living in them like islands, and with entirely new coastlines. But, as one would imagine, that would have really ruined the whole "dry land" objective for the characters. Lol link

Okay, I'll have to get back to the "Barge Town" project, now that I know a way to make corrugated tin with the right looks for the scale, for the roofs and what have you, I also figured out how to make the gang ways look a little better as well, I still have a board I need to cut for more barges, I've been holding on to this board for over a year now guess I should get on with it. My problem is just finding the time. Doug |

Doug, Check this out. This would make a nice piece. Dan

War Monkey: I was wondering whatever happened to Barge Town the other day. That looked like a really cool project! |
War Monkey | 21 Aug 2017 7:40 a.m. PST |
Yeah that project fell into a hold pattern do to four letter words, work, wife, kids, lack cash, boss, time, home work, yard work, did I mention wife yeah I did so heavy on the wife, so in general life got in the way, but that's okay because things are slowing down now and I will be able to focus more time to that project which I myself I'm really want get it finished a d get gaming. |
Cacique Caribe | 21 Aug 2017 1:55 p.m. PST |
Doug That's fantastic! Now I can't wait to see how you paint your first barges, boats, stilt huts and/or rope bridges. Or anything else you choose to begin with. Dan |
War Monkey | 21 Aug 2017 7:21 p.m. PST |
I started today, with…… A FISHING BOAT! (sound of clapping hands) Yeah so I laid out the deck plan so to speak then cut foam core board and stacked them up and worked a little on the main cabin. I hope to skin it with cardboard later on this week. |
The Scene | 22 Aug 2017 11:25 a.m. PST |
Great stuff again Dan. Gives me some good ideas. I have two big barges finished, just need to decide on how to fit them out. I will get some pics later in the week. Mike |
Cacique Caribe | 24 Aug 2017 4:39 p.m. PST |
War Monkey (Doug), I can't wait to see some pictures of your progress, both now and when you take the piece to the next stage. The Scene (Mike), that sounds fantastic. Some basic small/medium wooden platforms floating on half barrels might be a good starting point too. And a short floating "bridge" or two, also on barrels or pontoons.
Dan PS. And I'm always glad to share the new, the different and/or the yet-untried with you guys. |
War Monkey | 24 Aug 2017 5:29 p.m. PST |
CC, Here's a simple picture of what I have as of now.
There are a few more on my blog silo1313.blogspot.com Doug P.S. those black bans are the wife's hair ties I'm using to dry fit the cardboard piece. |
Cacique Caribe | 25 Aug 2017 11:40 a.m. PST |
Doug, Now that's looking mighty good so far. Damn good, in fact! A nice addition to your other Barge Town pieces: TMP link Dan PS. I hope it's nice and rusty when you're done.

Thanks for the ideas there Dan. I have an idea for a couple more fishing boats and a small cargo ship as well, could be interesting with them all moored together as one big flotilla. |
