Hey good folks of the interwebs!
I'm trying to source some ufos like mad mecha guy has on the website. Not sure if the website is down for long term or short break but figured I'd see what options and suggestions the community might propose as the 15mm world is vast and nuanced.

Any ideas ?
Much thanks ^_^

I didn't know his website was down.

Just wondering …

1) How big a ship were you looking for?
2) Just for interior gaming or with outside hulls too?
3) Classic circular UFO or are you open to other shapes?

PS. If you're thinking of making your own, check out what some of the members have suggested in this old thread:

Or for something more organic-looking, here are some suggestions:

Thanks Cacique!
I'm hoping to find something more or less exact to the small, medium and or large ufos here:

The idea for their usage is as dropships/vehicles for my alien forces in Gruntz (particularly the small ufo as they're the perfect size for in game transports of a grunt squad

This one isnt scaled to 15mm but it would work with a little conversion.

The Safeway, plastic containers from their store-made pies look great when inverted. Wouldn't be too hard to add in a deck to the middle, with the top being removable as well, to show that off.

Undersides (really the tops) are clear, so great for adding in engine lighting.

Needs a clear, shallow dome though, about 4" – 5" across, for the command bridge, on the top, in my opinion. Perhaps an inch or two high, in the center, and sloping off on the sides.

I'm still looking for that, so I can add in G-Couches, control panels, etc., etc., underneath it.

Would appreciate any tips on finding that, if you know of anything suitable.

I would leave out most of those partitions though.

The Pegasus Area-51 UFO model looks awesome too:

My thought on this is to do a 2.5 dungeon tile approach using cardboard for 15mm scale, then you don't have to fight with the walls being to tall for those of us with fat chubby fingers trying to reach into tight spaces.

Plus it would be cheap and easy to give it an elevated look as well heck you might even be able to put a ramp on it as well.

With it being rather flat would be easier to store too.

That does look good, and yes, I'd leave ALL those partitions out as well, excepting for perhaps the central one, which could be an elevator.

This is what the inside of the pie container looks like, for the Safeway pie container, sans the metal pie pan insert and pie, and without the thin, clear plastic lid:

Can't beat free, if you like pie, and it has nice rib detailing, which will look great painted aluminum, or silver, living the deep recesses black.

I usually try to get their pies on sale, like on $5 USD Friday, but they have some relatively cheap pies on other days too.

Mako11,

I wonder if that dish would work as the interior floor surface for that Pegasus UFO.

I guess it might.

The overall width is almost exactly 9" (perhaps just a shade under), and the flat bottom, if you use it the right way up (clear part on top), is 5 3/8th" across.

Obviously, the clear cover is separate, and easily removable.

The whole thing, with the clear cover on top, is a low profile, 2 1/8" thick.

The black part (bottom of the container), has 8 x rectangular recesses formed into the plastic, for strength, which can serve a doorways to get into the saucer, assuming you use it upside down, the way I plan to, and/or openings for weapons bays, etc..

Have you considered the Terra Blocks from Sally 4th?

GameCraft Minis does a 15-20mm series and a 25-30mm series of space craft interiors plus some accessories.
