Hi all

Here are some pictures of Oniria' Miniatures' new r figures.
No ground work because there will be more figures (The complete vignette will comprise a total of 4 figures with their horse (two mounted and two dismounted) plus seven foot figures). The other three sets will be released during 2017.
Hope yuou like these.

Saludetes

Figures at rest, not wildly charging…of probably the most iconic unit of the era. To this quality….with Christmas approaching.

Only question is how frustrated will we be if we cannot paint them to this standard. Wonderful…….

Take a look at them unpainted here (plus the rest of their range!)

Note however that the rest are larger scale alas. I had never realised that until just now and always had planned to add the rest of their Guard range and taking of the 69th Colour to my collection. I was sure they said 28mm……But 1/48th scale 36mm…weep.

They do seem definite that the Chasseurs are 28mm

Hang on.

Something has gone wrong here. I searched back using "Oniria" in the title and found many/most of these figures announced here as in 28mm scale. I recorded, at the time, my amazement at the quality (heck, I would for 1/48 scale) but was assured…oh yes…these are 28mm scale. There was some suggestion they were large for 28mm, but they are now sold as 36mm. They will be "big lads" if so. Now I see images of some next to a steel ruler it dawns on me just how tall!

What scale is this range now, truly?

Oh my, they are very nice indeed.

I could be tempted…

If they are the size I think, they will knock your plastic figures for six!

They are absolutely superb. Folk have commented before they were more like 54mm than 28mm, but they were talking about the detail….not the dimensions.

I hope the answer from Oniria is favourable to those who work in 28mm (TOTS)

Cheers guys.
Theses are a bit shorter than the Old Gard Greandiers (these were usually tall guys). About 1 or 2mm I's say, but it's really imperceprible. Some guys have mixed the Oniria figures with other 28mm and have worked perfectly.
See for yourselves.

Beautiful figures! I'm with Deadhead, can I really do these figures justice?

ONIRIAMINIATURES03 Nov 2016 9:30 a.m. PST

Well, if you cook a meal (regardeless your cooking skills) what would you prefer, fresh products or frozen ones? ;)

Well that picture is very convincing. I do recognise those Perry wounded and they seem entirely compatible.

Even more convincing is the first link I posted above. the very last image shown. Oniria have shown how they can swap parts with Perrys!

Humble apologies for doubting you, but my excuse is that you are not doing justice to these brilliant figures by quoting an "odd" scale, such as 36mm, on the website

Half the problem is that the figures are so good we cannot believe this can be done in 28mm frankly.

But the Chass a Chev do look the best yet……"a must"

As for my cooking, it is limited to "Pierce the film, 2 minutes on High and stir half way through"……

Liam. Just as you go down a scale every now and then, I do occasionally go up. And these are, frankly, marvellous

and they may not be the only ones too….

Word is more C a Chev to come?

I think you can tell from the pic that deadhead is referring to that they are taller and slenderer, however that does not mean they are not usable, men come in all shapes and sizes, this is something I really like about 18mm AB miniatures, Anthony has sculpted those figures with a range of heights withing the collection, and they look perfectly natural to me, so I would use Oniria's superb figures in a heart beat.
