Wonderful brush work. I wish that I could paint skin and eyes like that. |

I'm with you DAF, wish I could paint faces like that! |

Cheers Guys. Thanks for the kind comments. @DAF & wrgm1: Thanks guys, besides the faces I hope you also like the rest of the painted stuff ;) (nah, just joking) Here's a close up of the officer's face. You may want to check the brush strokes and how the colours and blends are applied. (hope this picture is ok for Franck) [URL=http://s16.photobucket.com/user/oniria/media/pruss2_zps1ef17756.jpg.html]

Lovely work. I especially like the yellow you have used – is that a Vallejo? |

My guess would be that oils were used to paint these figures. |

I really do love the painting of this gent. He sure knows about color-theory and has one hell of a steady hand. |

Thanks for the comments guys. @Plutarch 64: Yes it is Vallejo. Base: Gold brown+violet(+a pinch of scarlet).HL adding flat yellow. Extreme HL add ice yellow. @18th C: guy: Yes and no. I paint everything with acrylics and finally apply a filter of oils for the deep shadows (eg. Black for horse and "blues", burnt umber for the gold parts, etc
