I have recently re watched this great series and was wondering do any companies produce a line of figures suitable for gaming this show? I would love to be able to get a Hammerhead or two also.

Khurasan was coming out with some aliens that look like you could get "Chiggy" with.

Here is a link of one of the previews.

This is not a 15mm model, but it should work with Khurasan miniatures

Good luck.

Just received the castings and a painter is finally working on finishing the models -- first up will be the Jong-PAC, the middle pacific alliance, an Asian nemesis for the USMC.

Fantastic really looking forward to the Jong-PAC, although they will be doing service in my Neo Sov forces

Rebel Minis has your USMCs. IIRC Khurasan has mentioned in the past an interest in doing the Chigs. You'll have to look proxies in the mean time. There are some nice Hammerhead and ISSCV resin kits on ebay from time to time. Just do the search and save it and you'll see them pop up.

Lion in the Stars25 Jun 2014 1:53 p.m. PST

All the Hammerhead and ISSCV kits I've seen online are at least 1/72 scale, some are 1/50 or so.

All much too big for 15mm (which is nominally 1/100).

[edit] Actually, I shouldn't say that, GZG has fleet scale Hammerheads and ISSCVs. I think I asked Jon about making a 1/100 scale ISSCV, but he deferred that to the guys at Daemonscape. A 1/100 scale ISSCV would be too big for GZG's spincaster.

I bought the Rebel troops as soon as I saw them, and I'm waiting on Khurasan's … Acarines(?) to get chiggy with.

For the USMC, nothing new:

On March 01, 2014 Khurasan said: "They won't even start the casting process until after Cold Wars, because the caster is a major manufacturer and they are now focusing on that show. My guess, mid spring. Same goes for the Acarines and Jong-Pac.
The painter is going to start on them early march, so I'll have painted previews within a month probably."

For the ACARINES, again nothing new:

On April 28, 2014 Khurasan said: "Waiting for both the caster and painter to do their thing. It's a wait that can take months."

So, don't hold your breath. He must mean Spring 2015, it seems, since Spring 2014 has passed.

He loves to do this preview thing for figures that he may or may not have plans to release in the near future. Some items in his previews don't end up being released for years.

I did like the series. The SyFy Channel should show it ! Regardless those figures look pretty good ! thumbs up

Logain26 Jun 2014 12:50 p.m. PST

Yep, look great. Definately worth waiting for them. Even if it takes a while.

@CC: Thanks! And later I will print that out at 50%, to make it 1/96 scale or so.

Cacique Caribe27 Jun 2014 11:07 a.m. PST

Glad to be of service!

At some point, if the KM figures above ever come out, I will print out the PDFs of the ship and use that as a template to make one out of styrene and ABS plastic.

No Dan, typo there, think you meant Spring of 2115! grin

Anyway, yes, thanks for showing the preview of the USMC, saved me the trouble. I've just received the castings of them as well and the painter will probably be doing those after the Acarines. Jong-Pac comes first though as they received the most enthusiastic reception.

Louie N,

That Hammerhead 1/72 scale model looks awesome. I keep going back to that link:

Lion in the Stars22 Sep 2014 9:59 a.m. PST

@Totalmech: Nah, that's not to far from the rest of us…

But with that amount of unpainted lead, you should be in good shape for a long, long life evil grin

Mako1123 Sep 2014 3:38 p.m. PST

Given that the minis are about 18mm tall, or so, and the Chigs a little taller I suspect, 1/72 scale is a reasonable size for a Hammerhead. Perhaps slightly too large, but you can probably ignore that.

Chiggie fighters may be harder to come by.
