Dear Editor,

Can you or one of your assistants check the LINK to the alleged infraction that Tango allegedly committed?

All I get is a link to the Manufacturers Directory, unless Tango somehow managed to PO the entire Wargame Industrial Complex…I don't think this is the correct link.

TMP link Personal Attack

…leads to THIS:

If you're going to slam someone into jail, at least you might wanna get the charges right.

Rather poor show, eh wot!

Popcorn time.

Only Warlock26 Feb 2014 6:30 a.m. PST

huh. I saw other posters level personal attacks but not tango. Yet they are not dawghoused.

People only get DHed if someone complains. That's what the Complaint button is for.

Not arguing with you, MB, BUT…there was an entire thread link yesterday devoted just to this subject with the Editor called out by several TMP'rs about this incident.

I think a crowd of protesters standing outside your villa pretty much constitutes a "Complaint Button", especially since Dear Editor posted there himself and therefore saw at least the posts prior to his posting.

And it's been confirmed, the "Complaint Button" in support of Tango was, indeed, pushed…at least once.

I would agree with you. However, the Editor does not appear to have taken any notice. The only people to be DHed over this incident so far is Armand himself and Paint Pig.

I'll have to let him free on a technicality, then… grin

There was one who retracted his comments. If you know of others, hit the Complaint button…

That's not true, but hitting the Complaint button helps the moderators know when there is a problem. We can't be everywhere all the time…

You don't have a TMP feed go right into your brain?

When the Borg take over, I assume these sorts of technical issues will no longer occur. . .

Letting him out because Julia put in the wrong link? I call shenanigans.

Is it any wonder that there's a perception that the rules apply to everyone EXCEPT the person in question?

They sure didn't apply when he was "Mr. Plagiarism." Others went to the DH for plagiarism at that time but not him, even though he was far and away the most frequent culprit.

The rules sure didn't apply to him during his first incarnation on TMP (screen name was "Armand" or something like that) when EVERYTHING he posted was flame-bait, usually along the lines of "Why was the U.S. (or U.K.) so evil when… ?"

So why is it that the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to him? Why does he get special treatment? Is it because of his Legion of Fawning Fanboys?

brunet26 Feb 2014 10:55 a.m. PST

No, Tango generates traffic for TMP; good for busines

Irish Marine26 Feb 2014 11:03 a.m. PST

Again why do people feel the need to rat other people out??

"So why is it that the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to him? Why does he get special treatment? Is it because of his Legion of Fawning Fanboys?"

If this were the case then maybe it is because he is unfairly persecuted by people jealous of his popularity and success on this message board.

Wow! Such Venom. I had no idea that Tango had killed your entire family in a horrible car accident a few weeks ago.

I mean, that has to be the only logical reason for such anger and hatred towards the man; what else could have possibly done to have riled you so much?

Like Brunet stated, whether you know it or not, or of even greater importance LIKE it or not, Tango quietly generates a LOT of money for TMP and Dear Editor. I find myself buying two to three items (books) a year because of his recommendations. If that is matched by someone buying miniature sets or wargame rules or who knows what else that is Miniature Wargames related and multiplied by just 5% of the TMP membership…then Tango more than earns his keep around here.

He's not perfect, but then again, none of us are. Please be kind enough to direct your ire elsewhere, we have quite a surplus of it on this board as it is!

Why aren't you also crying out for Combatpainter to be DH'd for his original personal attack against Tango?

Since, you know, you are so concerned with rules applying to everyone equally…

Dear Andrew, if you want to see if "when EVERYTHING he posted was flame-bait, usually along the lines of "Why was the U.S. (or U.K.) so evil when…" is true or lie, here is the list of my threads under "Armand".

Hope you enjoy!. (smile).
