Antonio… now I have the time to read more in detail your last threads about my person.
Sir, you have crossed the line with your comments which are purely personal attacks to my person.

You begin saying:
"Tango you are truly amazing! So little time and so much to say! I cheer you!…"
TMP link

A sentence that now I'm not sure to interpreted as pure cynicism.

Why?
Read your own words:

"…I do feel sorry for his wife…"

Who are YOU to made any opinion of my wife or relatives?
Since when we can here giving advice for your personal life?
How if we began to said: Poor your kids / fathers / uncle / cousins / dog?…
What do you know about my relation with my wife to made such comments?. How is she is sick, dead or left me (none actually). Sir, you have to think before what your are going to write about your fellow members.

"…what is driving is madness…"

"…he is a nice person who just needs some love…"
So, you are psychiatrist or at least psychologist!
If that is the case, I'm not your patient and this is the last place to perform analysis of that kind!.
How you dare to said that?

"…It is kind of silly that one guy is monopolizing a whole hobby forum…"
The whole hobby forum? Because you decided with your "only 10 minutes per day" to count how many threads I posted in the period you choose (3 days?) and how is the result of the statistic of that?. Sir, you are Deleted by Moderator.

"…Think of someone lining up their own 22 full shopping carts at the supermarket…"

"…Or someone buying up all the morning newspapers before you get the and leaving someone else's leaflets place…"

"…Almost as if on a radio call in show, only one guy got all the air time and that person quoted Shakespeare the whole day…"

"…Or maybe a late night talk show with the same guest every night who played the opening scene from his favorite movies…"

"…A movie theater that plays only one genre-independent Ukrainian films…"

"…A restaurant with nothing but potato dishes-mashed, boiled and fried…."
At this stage of your comments, I think you are who need therapy as soon as possible!. How a waste of time to wrote so many bad options about my person/participation!!.

"…It must take him hours to link all those divergent threads to his posts. He does so multiple times daily…"
So what? What if I want to wrote from 8Am to 12PM?. Who are you to point that as negative for the forum?. If you follow so nearly my performance here, you can see that I wrote 2 or 3 period times per day. Usually two and I had not to explain why!

"…I am looking at him in a purely professional way, trying to diagnose his condition…"
Again with with that psychoanalytic garbage.?
You have no limits Sir!

"…The question is will he ever join the hobby as a painter, gamer or writer…"
Of course I did and if not, who are you to question that?
I don't see nobody questioning that to other fellow member!
It's a " condition/rule" to post here?. I miss that in Bill rules!.

"…Tango step down from the ledge. We are your friends. We won't hurt you. Talk to us. Please, no more links!…"
This is the most cynical and deceptive phrase that has ever read!

"…he seems to be losing his responsibility…"
What? Also we have "responsabilities" to write here. Oh!. Yes, I remember… Bill rules! And I don't broke them.
YOU Sir, for your part, are broken them with your clearly personal attack to my person.

So sad, because you are one who usually post on my threads…

So, Antonio… I had to said you two things.

One: You have to apology me here.
Two: Antonio, Bleeped text!!

Armand

MajorB24 Feb 2014 11:37 a.m. PST

Armand, if you have a complaint against him then hit the Complaint Button on the relevant posts.

Juan Kerr24 Feb 2014 11:38 a.m. PST

TMP just gets more ridiculous every day.

John the OFM24 Feb 2014 11:52 a.m. PST

What is ridiculous are the threads, all of which are personal attacks on him, that brought this on.
Armand doesn't have a right to call people out on them, after he was publicly attacked? He should just run to Dear Editor and complain in private? Really?

Dynaman878924 Feb 2014 11:57 a.m. PST

Yes, really he should go to dear editor. That said, the OTHERS should have gone to dear editor too.

Only Warlock24 Feb 2014 12:01 p.m. PST

Right with you Armand. That's why I finally stifled him. I have no desire to see the posts of someone so rude and misanthropic as to level personal and vitriolic attacks like that.

Jeff W24 Feb 2014 12:03 p.m. PST

Eh, the Editor isn't likely to intervene.

It being His house and His rules, at any time all he has to do is make an addendum to the rules rubber-stamping Armand's posts. Once that's done simply delete any thread questioning his posting habits.

marcus arilius24 Feb 2014 12:07 p.m. PST

Armand such language!!now Hör auf mit dem Scheiß! bitte is more polite!! you at least said please.

Texas Jack24 Feb 2014 12:08 p.m. PST

I wasn´t going to comment on this because I think this isn´t anybody´s business but the two men connected to it, BUT, I will anyway. grin

The OFM is right, a public attack, which seems to have gone unpunished at this point, should be responded to in a public way. I hope Combatpainter is man enough to apologize for his tasteless comments, but regardless, after so many attacks against Armand, I am so happy to see him turning the tables. Well done!

MajorB24 Feb 2014 12:08 p.m. PST

It being His house and His rules, at any time all he has to do is make an addendum to the rules rubber-stamping Armand's posts. Once that's done simply delete any thread questioning his posting habits.

That's very true. Interesting then, isn't it, that threads questioning his posting habits have been repeatedly posted since 2010?

Maddaz11124 Feb 2014 12:19 p.m. PST

Tango.

Don't lower yourself to the standard of some of the less than gentlemen that have taken to abuse you.

And keep up with posting informative links.

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP24 Feb 2014 12:20 p.m. PST

He has been repeatedly, publicly attacked and has every right to call out the person doing it.

Why would the offending party think it was OK to post the things he did? And why would other folks think it was permissible for him to do so?

And what does " Interesting then, isn't it, that threads questioning his posting habits have been repeatedly posted since 2010?" have to do with this thread unless it is intended as a justification to insult Armand?

It all seems very petty and childish from a group that "prides itself" on their intellect and ability to analyze events.

Sad.

(said in my best imitation of that particular Welsh soldier in 'Zulu')

15th Hussar24 Feb 2014 12:41 p.m. PST

Combatpainter is one of the very few people (five) I have stifled here on TMP, several years ago.

Tango is lashing out because this finally struck his last nerve and he, possibly, forgot about informing the Editor…wherever he may be of late.

That being said, it's good to see that most everyone agree's with Tango's attempt for redress and justice and I hope that he gets it and the other person is punished accordingly!

combatpainter Fezian24 Feb 2014 12:49 p.m. PST

I am sure you are a great guy.

Good luck and God bless.

They are fitting analogies, no???

Nowami24 Feb 2014 12:53 p.m. PST

Seems odd to me that this site has about 27 editors yet Combatpainter's silage got through.

Just a thought.

That's not what I was waiting from you Antonio.
You are not a man of honor.

DrJackson24 Feb 2014 1:30 p.m. PST

Sparker24 Feb 2014 1:52 p.m. PST

Good on you Tango for taking him on – hopefully we will have less of this bullying and bilge as a result.

Bringing one's relatives into it is inexcusable, and that is a mealy mouthed graceless excuse of an apology.

Shame on you 'Combat Painter'.

MajorB24 Feb 2014 1:52 p.m. PST

And what does " Interesting then, isn't it, that threads questioning his posting habits have been repeatedly posted since 2010?" have to do with this thread unless it is intended as a justification to insult Armand?

I didn't think I needed to spell out the obvious, but seeing as you asked: It is interesting because The Editor has NOT done anything about either Armand's posts, nor the attacks on him. Presumably therefore The Editor does not think any rules have been broken and therefore no penalties for such are due – on either side.

How does one game this in 15mm? What figs would you use?

McWong7324 Feb 2014 2:35 p.m. PST

I kept out of this one, but frankly Tango you've upset a lot of folks with your own behaviour. That someone finally said something that upset you I hope gives you at least some understanding of just how annoying they find you. Playing by the rules doesn't make what you do right, though ymmv on that one, which is fair enough.

Brian Smaller24 Feb 2014 2:37 p.m. PST

How about these? But they are 28mm. And without one of Tango's threads I would never have known about them.

I saw those as well & thought the same thing. Maybe throw in some pitchfork & torch weilding minis, some townsfolk just this side of zombiedom (bored office workers would work), some goofy mad scientist types as "heros"…..

Phil Hall24 Feb 2014 2:47 p.m. PST

From all I've read Tango's only problem is "You post to much stuff I don't want to read and I'll continue objecting until you only post stuff I want to see". My problem is that Tango doesn't post enough stuff that I want to read. I use him as a resource for the China situations.

anleiher24 Feb 2014 2:52 p.m. PST

The real problem isn't Tango's but rather a marked lack of manners on the part of some.

Brian Smaller24 Feb 2014 3:20 p.m. PST

From all I've read Tango's only problem is "You post to much stuff I don't want to read and I'll continue objecting until you only post stuff I want to see". My problem is that Tango doesn't post enough stuff that I want to read. I use him as a resource for the China situations.

This is exactly the point. He is posting stuff that they don't want to read. The whole "his posts pushes others off the front page" thing is so pathetic. I access the boards from their Message Boards page. That ensures I always see the latest and most recently commented on posts on each board I like to visit. Sure there are a lot of posts made by Tango, but I have still to see one example of a Tango post that does not somehow relate to wargming, miniatures, general military history past and present, modelling and so forth. They are not spam.

I ignore most, read some if the title tempts me in. Same with any other posts. I spent several hours reading some Napoleonic memoirs the other day that I would never have even known existed if it had not been for Tango. I have brought miniatures from manufacturers I have never heard of until I opened a Tango post.

Now I don't know Armand from a bar of soap, but I think I would rather have a beer with him than most of his detractors.

Heinz Good Aryan24 Feb 2014 3:35 p.m. PST

'I kept out of this one, but frankly Tango you've upset a lot of folks with your own behaviour.' -- yep have to agree. netiquette has developed over the years for a reason. many forums would not tolerate the rampant posting and repeat posting because it makes so many visitors furious.

it's done on such a massive scale for so long that it's really riding up some peoples noses hence the anger. BUT he obviously has a lot of defenders *** i got 48 of my stifles for daring to point out that he often violates netiquette *** so i still don't understand why he's not given his own subforum called RSS feed or some such.

then people can go read all his random link bombing in one place if they like it. and the rest of us could read the forum in peace. isn't that a win win? then no more mean talk from nasty old combatpainter. :-)

kidbananas24 Feb 2014 3:46 p.m. PST

Yeah he creates a large amount of posts, but they are all gaming related and this is a gaming site so I don't understand the problem. If he was out here trolling, sock puppeting, or even posting one of the seemingly endless "who do you think was the better general….." or "what was the best piece of gear in this conflict" thread then I could see the point. Still, everyone has the inate ability to choose to look at his posts or ignore them instead of beating thos horse to death. Then again, some just need to whine & gripe to feel satisfied I guess.

Caesar24 Feb 2014 3:48 p.m. PST

Mcwong, defending personal attacks and comparing them to prolific posting is pretty sad.

KTravlos24 Feb 2014 3:57 p.m. PST

There should be a duel. I would second for Tango. His posting can be excessive (and once I chided him for a post) but most of the time relevant. And insulting a persons family is not ok. He has the right on his side on this one.

Hugh Johns24 Feb 2014 4:02 p.m. PST

Um – what exactly is Tango quoting??

I've searched this site and the only place those phrases appear is in Tango's own post.

McWong7324 Feb 2014 4:05 p.m. PST

Caesar, I'm not defending a personal attack, I'm observing what caused it.

Brian Smaller24 Feb 2014 4:20 p.m. PST

Caesar, I'm not defending a personal attack, I'm observing what caused it.

I hate Tango's posts is one thing. Comments about his family and his relationships is another. The first is fine by me, the latter is the action of what the late Rev Spooner would describe as a Shining Wit.

Robert Kennedy24 Feb 2014 4:27 p.m. PST

Just an observation and once again I ain't got no dog in this fight but Tango does post quite a few "ooooooh ahhhhh,Pretty " threads. He also posts links to books that are for sale and thats it. Some like em. Some don't. And some just don't care. Are some gaming related? Some perhaps. But IMO not all.But I think that thats borderline.Thats just my opinion. For example. Would a post with the photo and link of an aircraft model showing parts of it opened and exposed be gaming related? Unless you plan to game your aircraft bare bones? LOL. Or perhaps a factory wink? Its all relative as to what one thinks it can be. But as some have pointed out and I too have noticed that its sad when it all degenerates to is name calling, insults and demeaning statements. From both Pro-Tango and Anti-Tango groups. There has been some well thought out responses from both sides and then some that are just mean, rude and snarky responses from others. Both on either side tend to get all riled up and just can't seem to be able to discuss anything without getting that way. You are either agin or against. No grey areas. And if you are one or the other then you are in the wrong. Robert

Good on you, Tango. Stand your ground.

Combatpainter, I think you are wrong, in this instance.

Of course, this is my two shillings worth, but I should recommend you either explain yourself or withdraw and apologize.

CombatPainter, I've always seen you a decent chap, good painter and easy to deal with.

I understand you may be perturbed by the number of posts Tango has, however it is ungentlemanly to deride him or his family.

A true gentlemen, would apologize with sincerity, for any of these negative comments.

I encourage you to do so, and end this, as a true gentlemen, would.
