I never got used to the concept of organic Cylons, so the First Cylon War scenario has always remained my favorite. So imagine my excitement at seeing this: YouTube link aintitcool.com/node/54428 I like the idea of a rise of the machines, but only of the shiny metal variety! So, which scenario appeals to you most? The First Cylon War? The Second Cylon War (with the "skinjobs")? Or both? Don't get me wrong, I loved watching the re-imagined BSG series. In fact, like many people I found it addictive: YouTube link Dan TMP link TMP link TMP link TMP link |

Alright who has the trailer we can see? there is something very very cool about the original cylon fighters . the new ones never cut it for me . the new ( second war ) bots were kicking . Boomer ( the skin job) can decieve me any time especially if she bring caprica six. |

I rather the reimaged First War and that is what we play using Colonial Battle Fleet Man vs Machine.

To answer the question: 1st Cylon War would be my preference. I'm very intrigued by this series. I did not care for Caprica nor what the 1st Sci-Fi Battlestar series morphed into (I liked the start and 1st season). Maybe this will be better. |
Only Warlock | 21 Mar 2012 11:55 a.m. PST |
To be honest, the 2nd Cylon war isn't much of a war. More of a "Targeting Exercise for the Cylons" LOL |
Ghostrunner | 21 Mar 2012 11:56 a.m. PST |
Nope – second link blocked too. Certainly wouldn't want any of us to get excited about the new series
Human-form cylons might have a role as commanders, but let's face it
other than infiltration and walking around in skin-tight red dresses, what use are they? I'm more inclined to go with the 1st Cylon War myself. |

I hope they find another link it was amazing and mostly combat footage! |

Blood and Chrome has been in the works for a long time
First it was going to be a TV series, then a Web series. I believe that they made a least a pilot that was screened for the SyFy execs who then cancelled the show. Apparently the acting was pretty bad, among other problems. |

I'd have to agree with Ming31. I hope they have a mix of both new and old series. I have fond memories of the old centurions, but they belong in a Styx video or an arcade shooter. The new centurions cause pants wetting fear. I'm rather fond of the Viper marks 1-3 and I like both the new and old raiders as well as both base star models. Just my .02. Finally managed to catch the teaser
wishlist is fulfilled, never mind. |

Yes, the series may never make it to viewers, and the acting may or may not stink,
but which overall concept would you prefer to game GAME? A war against of humans against just machines (with alien overlords safely tucked away), or a war of humans against machines AND "programmed" human clones? Basically, would you throw the whole "who is human and who isn't" issue into your game? Dan PS. I do wish the re-imagined BSG had some alien life on the places they visited, even if just a little bit of interesting of flora or exotic critters. |

"Yes, the series may never make it to viewers
" And now you have dashed my dreams against the cold, hard rocks of reality
:( And I prefer just humans against machines. |

Basically, would you throw the whole "who is human and who isn't" issue into your game? Yes. A good example is the gameplay of the Battlestar Galactica boardgame. Having some hidden Cylons in the mix makes things a lot more interesting than just "pew pew pew!" And I like "pew pew pew!" :D |
McWong73 | 21 Mar 2012 2:55 p.m. PST |
I bet you we will find skin jobs in B&C. It's too good an idea to NOT use. And cheaper on the sfx budget. Apparently they green screened most of this show. |

You gotta love those ladies. But if I am gonna game it, I am all about the First Cylon War with the clanky Roman wannabes. |

This picture of the First Cylon War in Adama's office (in the re-imagined BSG series) makes the combat seem like it took place in Medieval times:

Interesting picture. The cyclon using the sword sticks out. I always wondered why the cylons in the original story carried swords. |
darthfozzywig | 22 Mar 2012 2:45 p.m. PST |
Maybe a symbolic holdover as "centurions"? Maybe, like bayonets, mostly as a terror weapon against humans? Come to think of it, didn't the original Cylon blasters have funky bayonets? |

First I got realy excited. :o) Then I found out it wasn't going ahead and got very disappointed. :o( Then I heard those rumours about the acting and thought that if it isn't as good as the last one I would have been devastated and so felt relief. :oI Now I'm going out to hire the series and watch again! :o) If it isn't full of the haunting goodness of the last one they shouldn't do it.
