Moqawama | 09 Mar 2012 5:41 a.m. PST |
I would like to see humanoid war-bots SIMILAR (not exact copies) of the now-forgotten robots of the LEGIO CYBERNETICA presented more than 20 years ago in White Dwarf and then republished in the WH40K COMPENDIUM (the softback bound red book), I fondly remember the CASTELLAN, KATAPHRACT and CONQUEROR classes but remember there were other nifty ones as well!

That – as noted above – the old GW ones. I'd also like to see them in 28mm. |

Another vote for Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droideka, Thinker Droid (from animated series), Probe Droid (regular and small sizes) Androids (synthetic human): with some robot features; can distinguish from human, kind of like NS5 from "I, Robot". Robots that do not look like humans, and with primary functions: * engineering * agricultural * science: sensors, collectors, recorders * construction We can elaborate each one if there is interest. |

3rd for AMEE. New era Cylons, from the TV series, in various poses. Some of the human-looking Cylons would be very nice too. |

Folks looking for original series Cylons should check out Astro Miniatures. I have several of them and they are great. link They carry rifles and have the vented mouth. They do not have the skirts but how hard would that be to add if you wanted a more accurate look. Maximillian and floating trashcan robots would be pretty cool. Both of the robots are good for both Black Hole recreations as well as more general space opera stuff. Painted in greys and dinged up they can make good Star Wars style droids. -Eli |
Cacique Caribe | 09 Mar 2012 11:51 a.m. PST |
1) AMEE, as mentioned above; 2) New BSG toaster Cylons would rock: TMP link TMP link 3) Also, someone needs to make 3-4 variants of 15mm versions of "Sentinels" or "Hoverfish": TMP link I guess that's pretty much my list. Dan |

Another vote for Battle Droids, Super Battle Droids, Droideka, Thinker Droid (from animated series) Another vote for these. Took a moment to register that last name, then I went
"Oh! Tactical Droid. Not Thinker." They're meant to be the upper echelon officers. Liaisons between the flesh and blood generals and Field commander versions of the B1s that fill in the platoon/company/battalion level commander posts. Also, add to that list. The Crab and Commando droids from the animated series. Those Commando droids are pure bad ass. |
