I really like their mechanical tentacles. They remind me of the Sentinels from the Matrix films.

I was hoping that, by now, someone would have given this a try*.

You might be able to scratch build these if you found a proxy for the head. Someone probably makes a 28mm robot head sprue that would work.

I also saw someone release a tool recently that would make the tentacles really easy.

they remind me of some of the 'early' Kryptonian police and medical robots on Superman's homeworld….

These are big (pictured on a 40mm base), but they might be appropriate:

With a touch of paint the tentacles on these could make them similar to what you want.
