Would it keep me from using readily-available adhesives, like PVA? Thanks, Dan TMP link TMP link |

The Silvery Coating inside a Pringles can is a coated aluminum. The coating is meant to resist anything sticking to it. It will repel most adhesives. Scratching it will help. It will be a lot like trying to glue something to teflon, not impossible but takes some work. |

Scratch it with sandpaper or score with a knife. Its very thin and you can get to the card underneath. Main issue for me is the size of my fat hands and working inside the tube. Well OK getting the Pringles out of the bottom to be more honest but the first fitted better Andrew Mini site: 2mmwars.blogspot.com |

If it is aluminum, you could use J-B Weld. link |

Andrew, Fat hands? LOL. You crack me up! You and I must be related then. I had to cut the tubes into two long sections, just so I could use a slightly-soapy paper towel to get rid of the potato chip oils! I'm not too concerned with keeping the exact curvature angle, so I think the length-wise cut isn't going to be a problem:
I'll see if my wife can help me sand (I was going to say "score", but I know you guys) the inside a little, and see if that works. As always, thanks a million. Dan |

I have always had a hard time weighing my penny pinching nature versus my desire to avoid hassles and my love for materials that are exceptionally durable. As a result, I have never used the Pringles containers in terrain building – instead favoring PVC pipe. Cheap, easy enough to work with
plus I don't have to mess around with washing out the inside or dealing with the funky spiral seam. |

And these are just a few examples I've found. There are also lots of cool screenshots from the Stargate Worlds video game, if anyone needs added inspiration. Thanks, Dan TMP link TMP link TMP link |
