Has anyone done any such gaming?

What mummy figures did you use? What figures for explorers? What other figures?

What terrain did you use? Pre-built? Scratch-built?

What rules?

Any pictures?

Thanks.

Doesn't Chaos in Carpathia allow for a mummy faction?

I have painted up a Rick O'Connell using a converted Essex Miniatures ACW artilleryman and a mummy sold by Essex Miniatures in their 15mm Range.
My conversion:

Since making the conversion Brigade Games released a set of 15mm Adventurers which which includes a 'Rick O'Connell' with shotgun. These miniatures are very nice and fit in reasonably well with my Essex Miniatures:

I plan on using G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T. when I eventually play a gemes using these miniatures.

Essex do a nice 15mm Mummy

Barry S06 Jun 2009 10:51 p.m. PST

Yes CC they're the ones. Sorry CC I thought I'd postd a direct link to that page.

Henry V, the Sherlock Holmes figure started out as an Essex Miniatures ACW infantryman in greatcoat (BG84: At the ready, kepi). I removed the rifle and other equipment and used the head of an Essex SYW-F&IW British Light Infantryman which has a cap which looks a little like a deerstalker. I then added a pipe and pistol and rea hat flap to represent a deerstalker

Thanks Barry.

Brigade Games has a pack of 15mm adventurers that would work as tomb raiding types.

Barry S
How was the biggles figure converted, I would like to produce several flier types, as seen in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns

Malcolm,

Biggles is my first 15mm sculpt, actually my only sculpt beside a rabbit and a couple of sleeping dogs.

That looks great!

I think there's a huge vacuum in 15mm Pulp (and Victorian explorer period) that very few have noticed until now.

Guys,

I just received the following items, ordered from Crocodile Games:

1 WGE-119b Anubis Idol & Large Shield of Aten
1 WGE-138b Gong
1 WGE-141b Khemru Head & Fire Stand
1 WGE-159b Statue of Set
2 WGE-809d Obelisk
1 WGE-030z Tethru Backbanner

Source:

Except for the large shield piece, the rest of the items fit perfectly with 15mm.

So, go get your Egyptian tomb decor!!!

Dan
PS. Other cool items I got recently (and from an unexpected source):

1) Does anyone have a picture of the Essex mummies?

link

2) Does anyone else (other than Essex and Magister Militum/Navigator) make 15mm mummies?

Thanks.

A little bit of pin striping ta[e or some green stuff/milliput could give you hordes of mummies. Just a thought.

Cacique Caribe10 Jul 2010 9:21 p.m. PST

LOL. That's one option.

What about scratch-built tomb corridors/passages for 15mm? Has anyone tried it? If so, what materials? What configurations?

Thanks.

Been working on Colonial "Zombies" (mostly Egyptian/Sudanes/mahdist and british "wounded" poses painted up, slightly modified for a Colonial/Horror crossover game.

The new Rebel Minis sets are must haves!

Guys,

This could easily be stolen from the museum and used as a 15mm gaming table, don't you think?
