I know they were meant for 10mm fantasy gaming. But has anyone tried them for 15mm SF gaming? See picture at the bottom here: link See comparison shots here: link link They look like they stand at around 13mm or so (with the base, of course). Almost Jawa-like. Mutant-like. Maybe they could be used as desert enemies of Rebel Minis' Sahadeen? TMP link Your thoughts? Thanks. CC |

Ooops. Wait a minute. Are those pictures of their "Night Orcs" or their "Sand Orcs"? link The size comparison site calls them "Sand Orcs", but the Pendraken product codes seem to be for "Night Orcs". CC |

Cultist Orcs, I like that idea |

But, do you think they could be used for 15mm SF? If so, what scenarios would you suggest? CC |

Maybe they could be the semi-feral alien auxiliaries of the Sahadeen. Then you'd have a two-tier force in action. |

Hmmm. That's interesting! CC |

Well, it would give you some tactical challenge as to how to employ both types of troops to maximum effect, if nothing else. Like Orks and Grots, or Tyranids and Genestealers. I kicked around the idea of using Zombiesmith's Aphids as lesser auxiliaries of Spugs. The Spugs would be the elite troops, while the Aphids would be their conscripts or lower-caste levy troops. I have a platoon of Aphids already, so I'm halfway there. |

CC What a great idea !! I've got pack of Orcs I bought from Pendraken years ago that I've done nothing with. I'm going to dig them out to tonight and have a look at this. Cheers Vulture (My Blog link ) |

Really, I don't see why SF and Fantasy can't cross-pollinate every once in a while! CC |

I agree Dan. For me the best game GW made was Necromunda. The look of their Badlands was the best for what you are doing, IMO.
these Orcs could work, but they need some added on techness I think, to pass as mutants. Michael |

Check this out!!! Look at the third comparison picture. link TMP link You guys are the greatest. I still think the hooded "Night Orcs" would be excellent stand-ins for Jawas (or other pygmy desert mutants/aliens). CC PS. The question now is who sells them here in the US? |

Has anyone tried converting them to jawas yet? If so, are there any photos. Dan |

The Pendraken Night Orcs definitely have LOTS of potential as desert planet dwellers. When I finally get to convert mine, I'll even add goggles to a few, to keep the sand from blowing into their eyes. The spears will be turned into rifles. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that though. They might end up having long weapons like the Tusken Raiders. We'll see. Dan TMP link |

Yah a fair amount of Pendraken's Fantasy works just fine in 15mm. I have a HOTT army of the Ratmen. The Lizards with Lasers are fun as well. And the Critters that Germy did to go along with the resign Dungeon are great in 15mm. |

Need any tall cultist Orcs? TMP link If zombies can have their Goliaths (just watch Resident Evil: Afterlife), then why not cultist Orcs, right?
