I currently collect the old 25mm metal WEG Star Wars minis. I am trying to find out if any of the other ranges produced since the WEG stuff make a Jawa that is compatible. WEG did produce a single Jawa figure but i want more variety. Trawling through Ebay i see that you can get Jawa traders, scavengers, rontos etc and wanted to know if these could be used alongside the older WEG stuff |

The WEG and WotC Jawas will probably vary a bit in height, but be close enough. The one that won't be close is the old Archive not-Jawa. |

Heck, in the movies the Jawas varied quite a bit in height anyway. Jake |

Luckily they're all quite flammable! |

Flammable and in at least one Star Wars RPG campaign
force sensitive with a mean streak. |

Do a tmp search for "pendraken sand Orc" for an additional option, using their robed night orcs (I would go with sets #1 and #4, the easiest to modify). They stand about 13mm high. Hope it helps. Dan |

If you can find them on ebay or elsewhere, Micro Machines produced a pack of jawas that were a great size match for the old WEG ones. They came in a few different poses (I think 3?) and were 9 or 10 to a pack. The MM ewoks are also great to mix with WEG minis, and were even recommended in the "Imperial Entanglements" expansion book for WEG's own Star Wars Miniatures Battles rules! Human-sized MM figures are too small though, measuring more like 20mm. EDIT: I just checked, there's a bunch of auction listings for Micro Machines Jawas up on ebay right now. |

I would never have thought of using our Night Orc's, but looking at it, they could be converted quite easily. You'd just need to put the belt across the chest. |

the old action fleet line had jawas too, they would fit imo |

I second Parmenion's opinion. The Micro Machine multipacks of jawas were the correct scale with the older WEG minis (of which I own too). The Jawas are prepainted too, so that's a plus. Perhaps you can get a bunch online on Ebay or something. Good luck. |

Dave Pendraken: "I would never have thought of using our Night Orc's, but looking at it, they could be converted quite easily. You'd just need to put the belt across the chest." Oh, yes. Your Night Orcs definitely have LOTS of potential as desert planet dwellers. When I finally get to convert mine, I'll even add goggles to a few, to keep the sand from blowing into their eyes. The spears will be turned into rifles. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that though. They might end up having long weapons like the Tusken Raiders. We'll see. Dan TMP link |
