Would they be more like ant hills and termite mounds?

Do you imagine them along the lines of the mud mosques in Africa and elsewhere?

Or do you imagine them as something completely different?

Thanks.

Or are all your Spugs recent arrivals to Earth (not settled in yet)?

Or are all your Spug battles fought off-world?*

I would do ant hills on the outside and the movie Aliens-like one the inside.

I see spugs using a more hexagonical type of builder. This is natures most effective storage shape and it is also incredible strong in a hive format. Spugs would seem to be more practical than humans.

"hexagonical type of builder"

As in honey bee combs and paper wasp nests?

Interesting.

But wouldn't the outside shell need to be made of something a bit more "fire" resistant?

I think spugs would be past using paper fiber and would use a metal alloy. The fact they have time to make war and have energy weapons they have master spug-made building materials a long time ago. But they might still retain past racial memory of hive complexes and would feel most comfortable in them. The fact the are alien means you can make it look the way you like. But please don't use an anthill it dums down all of spug kind.

SW Geonosians had energy weapons too, but were still living in mud/stone hives, right?

These alien bugs (also with energy weapons) like to live in timber hives:

Hmm.

Hexagons . . . Honeycomb . . . Plastic . . . Sheets . . .

There's gotta be something I can use from among all of these products . . .

Something to line the inside of tunnels, for creating perimeter walls, etc.

Hmm.

This may work for "Spuggy" floors or inside walls:

Even these might find a use with Spugs or other insectoid types:

What do you guys think?

As Prince Rupert of the Rhine pointed out on another thread, these Kryomek buildings seem to work well for 15mm too:

I may have to get me a few of those buildings!

I made this green a while back (almost a year ago, I think).

It was way too small for 28mm, but I think it looks ok now that I put them next to 15mm Spugs.

Not exactly a perfect hexagon like those that bees and wasps do, but it does have 6 sides!

What do you guys think?

I think he was going for Spug + bunker = "spunker".

Ahh. I guess I'm getting old. Didn't get it, though it is so obvious. Thanks!
