Here are some pictures of a game I played today. We used Fast and Dirty for our ruleset. The figres are mix of Rebel and GZG. The Game was played at Phantom of the Attic in Pittsburgh, PA.

Very cool!

Wow. Looks like it was a lot of fun. Figures and terrain look amazing.

1- Did you play in a 4 foot x 4 foot space?
2- Who makes the half-dome terrain pieces?

Thanks.

Are those the old Grendel 25mm sci-fi buildings? They look great as 15mm buildings in those pics!

StarfuryXL529 Mar 2009 9:03 p.m. PST

Nice-looking game. Ivan DBA beat me to it, but it bears repeating -- those Kryomek buildings do look good with 15mm figures.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing.

Hi Joe

Great pics. Thanks!

I always thought the Kryomek buildings would make good 15mm outposts. Thanks for proving it!

Cheers

Looks like it was fun. Who won and how long did the game run?

Thanks,

Who made the tanks? They look nice and crisp, very Sci-Fi.

wminsing30 Mar 2009 5:42 a.m. PST

The vehicles look to be Old Crow- Sabre, Gladius and Slingshot, maybe?

The walker is a DP9 Uller from the Gear Krieg line.

EDIT: Forgot to say- fantastic looking game!

Looks great.

Thanks for the postive comments guys.

My figures(the green army) are all from Rebel minis. The Tanks are the still unreleased resin tanks that I bought at Cold Wars.

Scott's figures (The grey Side) are from OLD Crow. The Walker is from teh Dream pod Nine Gear Kreig Line. I think it works better for hard sci-fi than WWII.

The buildings are indeed the old Grendel 25mm buildings. I think they look better with 15s than ture 25s.

The Game was played on 4'x4' space. I think I would like to play the next game on a 4'x6' space or larger.

The game was our first with FAD so it's tough to judge how long the game took to play. I really like FAD. I think it has a good feel and is reasonably tactical.

At the end of the third or fourth turn, I had immobilized Scott's APCs and had several infantry squads in the hab complex. I call it a victory for the 405th space marine division.

We may try another game this week. I'll post pics if we do.

Grey figures seem to be GZG new Israelis (i'm in the middle of painting a company of them at the moment).

Good stuff, i'll have to take another look at the grendel 25mm buildings for 15mm….

That looks like fun! Thanks for the pics!

The Grey suited guys are a combination of GZG Israelis and U.N. hardsuits.

Joe,

I was looking for examples of painted Old Crow infantry a while back and had not seen any so far.

Any chance we could get close-ups of those Old Crow figures you used in the game?

Thanks so much.

Sorry CC, I missposted. The two vehicles on Scott's side were Old Crow. The Infantry were GZG.

Joe

Had my first game of FAD last night at my local club.

I would echo your comments. The game plays well and gives good results. I shall definitely be using FAD again in the future.

Very nice table setup and good looking figures.

Im glad the rules worked well.

I see little explosion looking markers. Were those for "under fire" ? How did you make those?

Vulture03 Apr 2009 1:46 p.m. PST

Weasel

I think what your seeing is some homemade maker chits :)

I've made a couple out of 2p and 1p pieces as an experiment.

The main chits I used on the night were just cut out of card. As I intend to play FAD some more, I'm going to make up some better ones, to represent activation and under-fire.

Cheers
