I don't know if this topic will ever show up. If it does, here is the actual thread:

When I finally get my Griffin greys, I plan to set up an alien settlement and have human troopers and/or scavengers be the bad guys.

I was thinking of using "Ape City" (from the original "Planet of the Apes" movie) as a model. I think it has the right look:

Should I start making my buildings from scratch, or has a manufacturer already started making and producing these odd structures?

Ape city is an adobe town gone Dali.

This manufacturer makes nice adobe buildings in 28mm scale:

I'm not sure anyone does an "ape city" style miniature buildings line. The walkways are easily sculped (with a hot-wire) out of foam (if you can do foam), or could be made out of plaster over a cardboard form. And stairs or arenas can be easily made.

The TerraGenesis people are good to look at:

Or just post to their forum. I'm sure someone knows something.

And, of course, Eurekamin's boiler suit apes are the apes to use!

I'd use thick grey card, foamboard and paper maché to fill the gaps and get the organic feel.

Question: I have yet to find anything (images, maps, sketches, etc.) for the 2001 Tim Burton ape city. Has anyone found any?
