Just finished reading Zamoyski's book Warsaw 1920, inspiring stuff. I know there are no 28mm figs out there for the Poles, but has anyone any ideas (short of me coming up with them myself)which figures I could use to represent them?

French, Germans, maybe some head swapping if you are up to it.

What was their uniform/helmet/rifle at the time?

IIRC Straight-up WWI French should do for the Blue Army at least.

I'd be inclined to use lots of creative license.

Poles fought in a number of different armies in the Great War, and I have the impression that the Polish army in 1920 was still very much "come as you are"

What kind of armor rateing should the Virgin Mary have?

I have a picture in a magazine that shows them in mixed german outfits.

Lentulus: that picture mostly shows the "official" Polish uniform. Worn by almost no-one in 1920.

The "come as you are" is right.

German, Austrian, British, Russian and French -- all can be used. More with cap than helmets, and without much by way of trench kit (no gas masks in particular), but otherwise straight up WWI.

Great pic, thanks for posting. Is that figure in the front a woman in a skirt or a man in a kilt like uniform?
