If this had been covered before, I hadn't seen it.

For a few units of the Poles, I know WWI French will do. Any suggestions for the others? Thanks…

The best source for this is the Pygmy Wars site, which has a section on 15mm figures to use for each army.
List here:

I did the war using 20mm, and for the Poles had a few units with Late German WW1 uniforms (with entrenching tools and gas masks taken off), a few with Austro-Hungarian uniforms and a few in Russian uniforms. I painted the odd item of clothing a different colour as if it had been replaced with something else, and swapped heads to mix it up a bit. Did the cavalry the same way. Artillery was a mixture of guns from Austrians, French, Germans, and Russians.

I agree with Zhao – the Pygmy Wars site is brilliant.

In 'squint mode'@

For cav use WW1 1914 British, Russians and 1940 Poles

For Infantry, WW1 Austrians in caps and WW1 Russians.

Cheers

Started collecting/painting this a while back: My Poles were a mix of Old Glory WW2 French for the "Blue Army". Russians were Peter Pig later Reds. The yahoo group on the RCW would be a great place to search…
