Hi, I saw that Little Wars LLC advertises free shipping of minatures to Fernando Enterprises. So decided to take the plunge and but some Musketeer Miniatures through Little Wars and have them shipped to Fernando Enterprises for painting. To me it would seem to be a large enough order, not to want to lose it. On Little Wars LLC web site store I couldn't enter the amount of a certain product. So I e-mailed them the order explaining the situation. I have resent the e-mails but have had no reply. I've used e-mail because I don't live in the US. To my knowledge this is a physical store, so I wouldn't expect it to be as if a person running the business out of there home is gone on vacation. Can anybody advise me what to do. Naturally I'm hoping that by just putting this out there somebody that knows them will mention this to them. |

Seems like there's a definite trend: TMP link CC |

They owe me merchandise that I have paid for from over a year ago but I can't reach them either. I'm writing off the stuff unfortunately. I won't ever do business with them again! |

Try contacting them Saturday as there is supposed to be a big FOW game in the store all day Saturday. |

No contact, no email, no nothing regarding a Musketeer order that included out of stock items I placed. Granted, they never billed me for the unsent items, just sent an order confirmation, mailed the stuff they did actually have, and then silent as the grave. |

Every time I tried contacting them I got no reply. They should be ashamed of themselves. I wish TMP had a Bad Treader list and board. |

Thanks guys I may have saved myself over $300. USD Just wasted a lot of Fernando's and my time. Now I'm not to computer savy, but when I open my TMP I don't have the 24 June thread about Little Wars shown. Is there a selection I have to pick to get the Consumer affairs section ? This could save me posting questions that have already been asked. |

I just checked Musketeer Miniatures Home Page and they list Little Wars LLC as their stockist in America. I think I'll send these two threads to them and let them know that they are missing sales of their products. |

Indeed it is. The new location is far enough away from me to make it impractical to swing by. Chris is a good guy though, so I wonder what's happening over there? |

I've been waiting for replies now for a few weeks myself. I went elsewhere. There are too many good suppliers who want my business and are thankful to get it. Those are the ones that get my money. |

Very sad to hear all these stories, Little Wars had always been one of the stores you gave recs to without reservation. Tony and his wife built a nice little business down in Houston. It reminds me of a BBQ restaurant here in my town. Made great ribs, sold out by 12:30 every day. Everything was tasty and homemade along with having a friendly and attentive staff. The owner decided to retire and sold the biz to the staff who managed to close it down in 6 months. It just never was the same even though it was purchased from the "inside" |

What I find strange is, Chris has placed 2 sizeable stock orders with us over the last couple of months, so someone is buying it! |

I understand there was a change in ownership roughly a year ago. Chris purchased the store from Tony and his wife. This, coupled with moving the store to the newer location has caused some disruptions. |

Tony and Cheri sold the store to Chris, and the store was moved to a better (?) location instead of the old dying sick building that housed the antique mall that it was in. Right after they moved there, the place next to them caught fire and they had to close for a bit due to smoke/water damage, etc
I know that Chris had hired a couple of people to work the store, that "didn't have access to the computer, or to the voice mail", etc
typical counter game store guys and that was it. What's going on now, I have NO idea
. This is NOT good for them though

I will probably go there tomorrow. If you would like, post a message here, or PM it to me (which is the better option) and I will print it out and take it with me and hand deliver it to whoever is working the counter. Mike Mitchell Houston, Texas |

Maybe you could just print the two threads and they may see the turmoil being created about there business. Without actually giving out my name by my statement about my order and shipping to Fernando they should know who I am. The only reason I don't want to give details is I have received false invoices before that were very convincing. |

This is all unforunate, but confirms my experience as well. I ordered a moderate order of Freikorps figures and it took nearly three months to get them. Emails were repeatedly sent and not answered. |
Frankss | 28 Jun 2008 5:59 a.m. PST |
Well I placed my order with Musketeer Miniatures direct. I did it while their 5 for 4 sale was still on. With the 5 for 4 deal it may save me even more than the approximately 29 pounds in postage. So I may get my armies bought and painted as originally plnned just a few weeks later and a lot of e-mails. |

Didn't make it Friday, so it will be Monday. And I will print out those threads and bring them with me. |
jdpintex | 28 Jun 2008 6:34 p.m. PST |
I was there today. Didn't see Chris though. But they're going to have to make a Freikorps reorder since I put a big dent in their inventory. |

I talked to John at Little Wars today, Chris wasn't going to be in, as was said. He mentioned that they do have plans to go to Historicon, but I needed to talk to Chris about it
I did not mention this thread today, but when I talk to Chris, I will mention this thread. He has always seemed capable in the past, but I am not sure how much was Tony and how much was Chris in the operations. I do know that Chris seems to be the person who made the Historicon trip happen each year by packing up the shop and physically driving up to Lancaster PA
I also saw him doing quite a bit in the shop from when he became a partner in the store in the early 00s

While Tony initially brought the store to New Orleans, it was Chris who took the displays to Recon in Orlando and last year's Bayou Wars. So I would guess he took it to Historicon in the past as well. |
