Hello, I'm working on making my own Space-Hulkish set. I've used the titles from Ebbles Miniatures (very satisfied customer), I've ordered blip, blast, and overwatch (cover fire) tokens from Litko. GW Karskin's are my marines, but I haven't yet found any aliens to use. GW is my fall back, but I'd like to examine other options. I looked at the Horror Clix aliens, they are okay, but I can't really be bothered with the whole collectability. I want to just buy a lump of figures and be done with it. I thought about some of the Kryomek aliens, but I've never seen any in the flesh. Anybody got any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, joe |

Quite seriously, ebay for GW Genestealers is really your best best. They will be relatively cheap and 'Stealers IMHO give a really good feel for the Space Hulk denizens. |

The Horrorclix aliens come in a non-collectible set. If you buy 3 boxes, you're guaranteed to get get 21 Aliens (although the three wall-climbing ones will need fiddling with somehow). The other options are: Kryomek, from Scotia-Grendel Koralon, from the Void range (Scotia-Grendel again) Koralon from the Metropolis range (Urban Mammoth) |

Black Tree Design's Revok also might be suitable. link |

Sounds cool, I'm doing the same right now. What do you use as blips since you need the number als models on the downsite? The Horrorclix Alines are quite nice and the price is ok. And they are not collectible. [show of modus] Here's mine, rebased on atenocitis resin tech bases. link picture [/show of modus] |

Thanks guys, some great choices here. twfigures- those aliens look great, and since they are not collectable, I'm definately thinking again about using them. I'm using the Litko green blip counters. I'm just rolling on a table when they are revealed, which does have the problem that it is unknown to the alien player, but normally I'm playing solo anyway. What are you using for marines? Joe |

Thanks, I had planned to ask litko if the can print on both sides of the blips. I'm going to use the Copplestone Assault Marines. There's a good choice and they are big enough to go with the Aliens (which are 35-40mm). |

There are Space Hulk Fan sites out there and on Yahoo groups that have jpg files of all the tiles, blips, markers and some custom ones. I don't remember the site but one guy has whole decks plans that can be printed out by pages and put together on a board. Theres lots of stuff out there you just gotta google it out. The best games by GW: Space Hulk, Talismen, Necromuda, Mordhiem. |

there is also my take on building a Hulk link I had lots of fun building and then playing in this ship. |

You know, if you're building a custom Space Hulk set, why not use square bases, rather than round? |

Nice layout quester are those custom wall by you or from another site? Than one marine in the room by himself with that bunch of bugs was just toast with blood red jam. :) |

Quester – That has got to be the biggest build of WorldWorksGames FirstLight I've seen yet! Awesome! |

A friend of mine bought some penny-sized green flashing LEDs and rigged a base for them with a battery and a switch. They were superb as blip counters, and really captured the "Aliens" experience in Space Hulk. |

Another vote for the Horrorclix Aliens. They aren't randomised and are widely available. |

Ted Arlauskas: Thank you, it was a lot of fun building it, and I learned a lot about using card stock PapaSync: they started out with art from WorldWorksGames FirstLight that I did a lot of photoshop work to so I could print what just what I needed |

I have a Space Hulk Genestealer body that's of no use to me. I'll happily send it to someone in the US. WiattheOdd (at) aol etc. Wyatt |

I'd strongly recommend the Kryomek.. mainly cuz they come in differnt sizes and poses (all are 28mm) |

Quester, thats "First Light", ain't it? I did the same thing! Very Nice! Throw in some Horrorclix "Evil Cosmonauts", they make great space zombies and spice up the game a bit. |

Good figs, but no use for Space Hulk. The feet are spread about 70-80mm apart. |

As mentioned right at the start I'd just ebay for Genestealers. Sometimes you get the old Advanced Space Crusade tyranids popping up too. I sold mine on Ebay, they went for a surprising amount :) ========================================================== Free competition at fantasy-wargames.com |
