Wandering around Legionary this saturday, idly counting heads and keeping half an eye on my Martians, I spotted these on the Shieldwall stand –

The bigger ones are about 15mm long – quite nice little figs.

I think the Pinnacle Great Rail Wars Clockwork Spiders are far better looking, VSF-wise… link

Those are REALLY nice, but they look a little more high tech than I would expect in VSF.

I think they will be great as these:

The ones I attempted to make, though EXTREMELY cheap, look more like tripods for smaller scales:

CC, those are awesome! I have to go get some of those jewelry pieces and try that.

Jav,

That should be plenty of legs and bodies to make 12 such spiders and still have 8 bodies (hearts) left over.

All for about $3.50 USD

Do you know if they have that stuff at Michaels? I'm kind of unfamiliar with jewelry stores, I'm afraid.

Suddenly, Michaels finds their stock of heart-beads and fish-hook-wire depleted.
Corporate sales analysts are baffled.

PS--Those are awesome CC!

LOL. I can see the headlines now.

I think I got mine at Hobby Lobby, though Michael's is still a possibility.
