When I built my original 15mm Amazon army, I used the army set available through Rebel Minis. For my replacement Amazon army, I went back to the current manufacturer of the figures (Lone Gunman Games) and came up with new troop types to match the different figures in the range.
Above are the Amazon warriors from my original army, mixing two types of figures: Amazon maiden warriors (with shields) and Amazon warriors (no shield).
And here again (above) are the Amazon Maiden Warriors in the new army.
And now, here are the new Amazon Warriors!
I just couldn't see mixing figures with and without shield in the same troop type.
This means creating a troop type out of a single figure pose, but you can get the illusion of variety by (carefully) posing the arms (before painting) and by positioning them differently.

Sadly, the figures are currently not available from the manufacturer, Long Gunman Games. If that company cannot recover, I hope someone else will pick up this excellent figure range.
The figures for this army were painted for us by our Ukraine friends, Old Guard Painters. I then based and flocked the finished figures on Mighty Armies 1" x 2" plastic bases.
LITKO FlexSteel was then placed under the bases, so they will stick to magnet-lined boxes for storage and transport.
