DAMN. If I could, I would trade all of these 5 packs for that one booster pack:

3 x PI.2 Infantry Squad + Assault Weapon (5 figures each)
1 x PI.4 Missile Teams Moving and Firing (4 figures each)
1 x PI.5 Heavy Laser Teams Moving and Firing 4 figures each)

PS. If only I had waited until they had resolved the leg issue: TMP link

Heck man, I'll trade you a set of the new guys for those packs you've got there. Well, as long as you haven't cut them up for casualties yet. :) I was about to order a bunch of stuff from The Wizard's Workshop anyway, I can just order the extra guys for you, then send them your way.

I hope that a US Retailer gets them in soon. I like that extra heads come with the pack. I could make good use of them.

cloudcaptain16 Oct 2006 8:18 p.m. PST

Rattlehead will probably get them quickly.

I love 'em, its just a real pitty no one here in OZ carrys them, and the shipping/exchange rate bells out badly for them! the 10 man squad ends up at around $50aud, about the same for a box of GW cadians. Or two boxes of SST marines, (three if you buy em on sale at Millsims at the moment), etc. I know it's not Pig Iron's fault, but damm. They are GREAT figures though.

they look much nicer than the older ones (legs again being the problem for me) – hope they re-work the rest of the range in this new style. Good price as well – under £2.00 GBP a figure. I know some of them are taking up a chunk of my next figure buying spree!

Ron W DuBray17 Oct 2006 5:31 a.m. PST

wow you think under £2.00 GBP GBP a figure is a good price,

yup that explans why Ive not gotten any new minis for the last 5 years. execpt the ones Ive made for my self.

Thieses17 Oct 2006 5:43 a.m. PST

These are well sculpted minis. I really like the head options. They are a bit expensive. They are about $5 USD for one. However, when I think about the Harlequinn/Black Tree Daleks I bought for almosgt $6 USD each this puts things in perspective. I bought those minis almost 10 years ago! I've realized you have to buy the minis when they first come out. They rarely go down in price. ;)

nvdoyle17 Oct 2006 6:01 a.m. PST

10 figs @ £14.00 GBP = £1.40 GBP per. Current exchange rates ( xe.com/ucc ) give that as $2.62 USD per. This, of course, doesn't include shipping.

Er…unless you were talking about $AUD, not $USD…

alien BLOODY HELL surfer17 Oct 2006 7:33 a.m. PST

Well, under £2.00 GBP for a nice figure isn't bad at today's prices – compare them to the metal IG from GW – and well, they look nicer (more sci-fi to me) and are cheaper. As Nvdoyle just posted – actually £1.40 GBP a figure. Beer is around £2-4 a pint, I get more fun out of my figures as a rule, so I justify it that way to the missus. Until she mentions that none get painted of course! ;-p

Thieses17 Oct 2006 2:10 p.m. PST

…..OOOPs, yeah. I looked at vampire's prices and failed to notice the "aud" after the $. USD These minis are very reasonable at $2.62. In fact that makes them well worth buying.

"wow you think under £2.00 GBP GBP GBP a figure is a good price,

Yep, that explains it. Last I ran the numbers, the PIG were about the cheapest reasonable quality metal troops available in the 28MM scale/range.

vampire18 Oct 2006 3:36 a.m. PST

Don't get me wrong, i think they are great figures, and the price is fine, it's the shipping/cash conversion that hurts. If i could pick 'em up from a local store, i would. I'd buy lots. But SHIPPING them costs me.

HUBCommish,

The figures will be in the mail this afternoon. Thanks.

I don't think th US stockists have the new heavy infantry figures yet – I'll be snapping up a set of them as soon as available.

smokingwreckage21 Oct 2006 8:57 p.m. PST

Vampire; even with the cost of shipping they work out pretty attractive per figure. Buy from a US stockist, they usually don't gouge as hard for postage.

Cacique Caribe22 Oct 2006 1:20 a.m. PST

I think they are the closest thing to this in 28mm:
