GW has plastic rats in various places. WotC has a "Diseased Dire Rat" in the current set ("War of the Dragon Queen") of rubbery plastic prepaints, and has done giant rats in metal in the past. Reaper has (had) a pair of GIANT rats. |

No, look for megaminiatures, CC. They sell a pack of rats, one very large (about 25mm iirc) and 9(?) smaller ones that should do for your Flores rat. |

Now for life like giant rats, go to the local pet store and purchase young mice, turn them loose on the table and all h**l will break loose. LOL ;-) Seriously though, just look for rats in a larger scale than you currently are gaming in. Skipper |

Skipper, I love that idea, though my wife might not appreciate it. LOL. CC |

There was an 8" Nosferatu figure a few years back by Aztech Toys that came with a load of rats if I recall correctly. auction auction |

Ral Partha had rats, IIRC. And GW does Rat Swarms. |

I am definitely going to use one as a recent kill, full of javelins or being butchered (as in the picture above). Does anyone make giant zombie rats, with exposed ribs or something like that? CC |
Farstar | 06 Aug 2006 11:23 a.m. PST |
GW has a zombie rat that costs WAY too much, as he's up in the "riding animal" range. Look under Necromunda for "The Caller". |
Cacique Caribe | 06 Aug 2006 2:52 p.m. PST |
That rat is HUGE: link But thanks for the tip. CC |

Try Discount Hobby, they have unusually large 25/28mm rats such as: link |
blackscribe | 07 Aug 2006 1:48 p.m. PST |
Rackham and some small German company do rats big enough to be used as mounts. Black Knight did two pulling a chariot. Excalibur of Germany does one really large one with a topless elf lass on it. GW made a giant undead one. That's all that springs to mind. |

I bought a bunch of rubbery rats and spiders after Halloween when the local costume shop had their after-holiday sale. |

Thanks for the suggestions. My Floresiensis are finally going to have something to hunt and eat!!! link CC link |

Now thats its Halloween soon, try Wal Mart, they have tons of (what you would call "big" for 28mm) rats and other nasties like bats, bugs etc. in bags for like two bucks. I know 'cause I saw some today! :) :) BTW, Michaels Crafts has a huge line of 54mm Halloween figures, buildings and accesories (the buildings are way small for 54mm, and the ones I saw were all great for 28mm, including a movie theatre). The accesories realy shine, picked up gargolyes, tombstones and graveyard fencing for a few bucks. The buildings, however, cost Amigo money :(
